Novalogics (OP) User ID: 34804082 United States 02/25/2013 04:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah, I remember you from the Christmas giveaway. Pretty good singer. But why do you use a baby guitar? Quoting: Shoot straight Johnny I like the Ukulele (baby guitar) because it's really nice and soothing sound, and it's different, not everybody uses it, and I like to be unique. I sing, Rap, beat-box, play the ukulele, and write songs. At 15 I unofficially broke the world record for the fastest rapper in the world, (I hit 1,048 syllables in a minute. The record is currently 921) I'm actually performing in a rap show March 15th, and I am going to write more rap related stuff so I can have some "Club bangers" haha. So yeah, basically the whole point of this reply was to say that I'm a multi-genre artist. I think maybe your musical talent would be wasted on rap. I might be wrong, it's just that I have an aversion to rap. Don't like it at all. But don't think I'm trying to put you off. Each to his own. I was only kidding about the 'baby guitar' thing, btw. I love the uke as well, hence the video in my sig, shot where I live at Wigan Pier. Haha I never realized the link in the signature :P I like rap but not what the mainstream rap is, I like meaningful rap that tells a story, rather than talking about cars, women, and money. :p If you'd like to check out and support my music, please go subscribe to [link to www.youtube.com] |

Then there's those first 5 seconds that get your attention, or click. What makes a song really great is that moment you get goosebumps...that nice little chill. Then you want to get more. You Sir, did that...Awesome lyrics, voice of an angel and great tune...I thought it didn't happen anymore...Watched this 3X... |

A while back I was in the Christmas giveaway, and I was fortunate enough to have been selected as a winner. Quoting: Novalogics I just wanted to give an update about what I've done, and my progress as a musician! So, I've been in the studio, and I've recorded my first EP (6 songs) and I'm waiting for that to be mixed and mastered but the audio engineers right speaker blew while we were in the studio. So yeah, I've just been writing songs and getting more material, I performed my first show 3 days ago, it was a blast. I've got my Youtube channel up and running, I've got a few of my originals posted, but they're not studio versions [link to www.youtube.com] I'm currently in a competition to win a ukulele, and I could use your help. There is a Ukulele website that hosts giveaways every month, and I need people to use my referral link so I get "entries" and it'll give me points towards winning. It's a trivia, but it is also an awesome way to learn about Hawaii. You only have to enter and answer once, (It doesn't need to be a correct answer) [link to is.gd] <-- Click that and scroll down, and log in using Facebook, and allow the app (You can delete the app after) Doing this will help me get quite a lead to win, and with the help of GLP I know I could win with ease. But yeah, thanks for reading, and again. Thank you to Trinity for picking me to be in the Christmas giveaway. I hope everybody is having a wonderful day. - That's my favorite original I've written lately. Logged in via my business Facebook page and answered the question correctly - Didn't see a link to vote for you so I'm assuming it was in the link you provided. I have a young lady "Sirena Rose" - 14 yrs old that plays at my Beach Bar every Friday - The two of you would sound great together. She writes her own music as well... Wish you the very best! |

Bittercritter User ID: 26255514 United States 02/26/2013 08:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | congrats on winning the contest! You have a very good voice and it looks like your attitude matches - that's good because if you're serious you will need it. The music industry is a cold, heartless world full of shysters who just want to make a buck off you. If you're serious get yourself a music business lawyer. 2) Grow a very thick skin. For everyone who loves what you there's another that will hate it. 3) Bottom line - do it for yourself. If YOU like it, then it's good. If you have to ask yourself if it's good keep working on it. Art is like golf - there's no "perfect" score, you only seek to make your game better. 4) If you're lucky enough to make it in the 'biz remember it's only a limited engagement. At some point you will have to move on to other things. Get a degree while you hone your writing and playing skills. Then if the music doesn't work out you won't have to live off Mom and Dad's dime. 5) Stay humble even if you do make it. Remember it was your fans who put you there and they can put you out just as easily. Good Luck! |

I just want to add some information regarding this great ukulele company located in Hawaii. [link to www.theukulelesite.com] is really a fantastic store located in Hawaii with some of the most knowledgeable staff I've ever come across. The owner still practices old school like customer service which isn't a given in today's world and I have had a top notch experience dealing with them in the past. If you ever find yourself in the market for an ukulele, they really are the place to go online. As you know my son Joshua is a singer/ songwriter and is just starting his career. I hope you all visit his youtube page and become subscribers if you like his music. My personal favorite on his page at the moment is a song called Many Reasons. I hope you give it a listen. Please participate in the trivia contest that my son mentioned and maybe he will get the ukulele of his dreams. It really is fun and you get to learn some interesting facts along the way. So if you can, click on the link he provided and help him achieve. Thanks in advance for your considerations, Papa John Hi Papa John Listened to the song "Many Reasons" ... it's Great!! Love the kicky upbeat vibe. Congrats to you for raising such a great kid! Well done |

To answer your question, my biggest influences is Love, and wondering how just how great love can be. But on a darker note I also write songs based on broken hearts, and trying to imagine the worst broken heart ever, and taking the emotion from that and putting it into written words or song. My influences musician wise, would definitely be; NeverShoutNever Tyler Carter (In his acoustic version of "Fame over demise") Sleeping with Sirens Panic! at the disco A day to remember. I like the acoustic versions of all their songs more than the full band versions, as it's more simple and that's what I really like about my music, it's so simplified.
