The second theory sounds closest to the truth but I believe the video is real and she was not acting. Whether she was actually put in the water supply or that's just an excuse I don't know. But her actions are to awkward and real to be an act.

I don't think anyone is diagreeing with that. We're just curious people that have the time to be curious and it's better than watching the tube. So far I've learned a heck of a lot tonight. That this was some ritual is kind of a given.

if we take the term Speakeasy literally - as an establishment that sold liquor we could look at one joint in town that would fit the description perfectly.
Cole's is a restaurant that looks out of place in Los Angeles. Its exterior has more of an East Coast feel to it -- the sidewalk is level but to get inside you have to walk down a 1/4 level or so down a ramp. It very much has the look and feel of what an old time speakeasy may have had in the Prohibition days.

it's the oldest restaurant/bar in the city - open since 1908.

If you go on Google Maps and punch in 118 East 6th street you will see what i mean. in fact, there's a film shoot taking place at the time Google photographed the restaurant. It's a 2 minute walk from the Cecil Hotel.

if there would have been drowning or lack of oxygen as cause of her death, they would have known by now and no further examinations necessary.

so it must be something else.
something else means something she has not done to herself as in "she was killed" - before she got in that tank.

i agree....it said waiting for toxicology but that doesnt matter..say she has drugs in system,she still didnt die in there..at least to me

valid point..but even if that were the case,she wouldve have not been dead and wouldve have gulped under water...like say she stayed above she wouldve passed out and then breathed under water,then drowned

an autopsy would tell you if she drowned conscious or unconscious..and AFTER the AUTOPSY they did not say she drowned so she did not drown!

As I said. If water was found in the lungs and found to have entered the lungs while the victim was still alive the cause of death would have been listed as DROWNING. If water was found in the lungs but found to have entered the lungs after death it would not be listed as the cause of death. It would indicate though that the body was submerged after the victim was already deceased. If she was in the tank alive as you theorize and ran out of air the cause of death would have been ASPHYXIATION(also easy to determine). Any attempts made by the victim to get out of the tank or efforts to get the attention of others for help , such as pounding on the side of the tank or clawing would leave bruising that would show up during the autopsy. There could also be visible marks on the inside of the tank.

I can swallow that. Bruising, screams, pounding. The coroner is equally sure that she had no cause of death as he is sure there were not several causes of death. Is this correct? Yes. Its open game.

What we have is a video and a name

it is all about the way the coroner said what he said...

easiest answer would have been:
she drowned in there (..with most possible option: got in the tank by herself)
but she did not have signs of drowning, conscious or unconscious, so this was ruled out.

next best answer would have been:
she died of lack of oxygen (still with the option, she got in the tank herself)
he did not say that - because they ruled this out as well.
no signs in/on her body for that (eg if she was trapped, she would have marks from scratching the inner tank on her fingers, broken nails, rust under the nails and stuff)

what´s left after that:
she died, but with no signs from dying in the tank due to drowning (conscious or unconscious) or lack of oxygen.
so dying in the tank can be ruled out.

what´s left now:
she died. outside the tank. reason yet unknown. therefore tests of toxics (and other stuff..)
but died not long ago before she was put in the tank, as she would have been much more decomposed if her body would have been dead outside of water for longer time (like days, a week). being dead in water somehow conserves the body.
