as i am having a master´s degree in cynism and, as well, in sarcasm and i am a german girl, maybe - without using these devices of eloquence - she is just not as good with the english language as she would need to be to understand your kind of humor.
maybe she is totally lacking understanding of sarcasm in german, too, but this would make look her just "dumb".
