I reside in NEPA and there are plenty of local shops, NOT CHAIN GANGS that can supply you with all the ammo you need. Really good people taking care of the community.

Some people got lucky when trucks rolled in. By 11am - empty shelves.

Food will be next.

I just got back from Walmart shopping.

They had more than Ive seen at anytime since Newtown, and thats on a Sat night. Its slowly heading back towards normal.

wallmart had fereral 100rd value packs 55 grn lc for $37 i grabbed it and 2 bricks of .22 under $20 a pop .I shop for ammo like food every week .And sometimes you must buy in bulk.

Is Walmart doing the limit 3 in PA? In some, they are limiting total, in others it's per type. Bass Pro Shops won't limit at all. So, it's just a matter of catching it when a truck is off-loaded.

The interesting thing is that some people are buying ammo for guns they don't own. Also, watching the gun sales - the shotgun shells are starting to go (slugs faster than shot).

Chipotle had a sign saying there's a shortage of organic beef, so they can't get that.

Ammo will be good for bartering when the time comes. Even if you don't own a gun.

The next thing that will be in short supply will be gas and after that, medical supplies. I remember during Hurricane Katrina I was working with a church that was loading up a truck with supplies that people were requesting. They wanted hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, and bandages.

In a worst case scenario you can forage for food, but good luck foraging for antibiotic ointment and a band-aid.

It's something to think about.

Bourban. All kinds of noobs have been switching to bourban because they think it's the next new thing. I probably should not tell you this, because I am not fully stocked with Jim Beam and Makers Mark yet and don't know what I would do if there was a panic run on it and I was caught short.

yeah I just emptied out all the medical supplies I could find from an old medical office that got shut down and we took over. Lots of syringes (new and sealed), stethoscopes, glucose test apparatus, etc etc. Also stocking up on pens, paper, ammo, guns, gauge reducers for my 12 gauge so I am not restricted to just 9mm and 12 gauge, other various medical stuff, medications, vitamins, feminine hygiene products, pre natal vitamins, anything I can find that would be needed. One thing I think will be absolutely vital will be creating community units to help each other and defend one another. Being able to contribute would be an instant in.

Got a 12 gauge for Valentine's. Slugs are starting to clear out. Some Walmarts restocked this morning but cleared out fast.

I would say without a doubt "Silver Dollars" at least it's something.
