My daughter is applying to a nursing program at a major college and they will not even accept her application if she does not get required shots, one being the flu vaccine.

They do it annually. Probably won't be long until they begin to mandate vaccines for those in my line, whereas now, it is just offered with preference to us willing sheep. Not me. Yeah, I am torn on this issue. There is no proof that flushot 100% works, and its relatively new. What if we find out 10 years from now, something is very harmful about it. Its one thing, to do it by choice, but being forced is completely another. On the other hand, if you choose to work in healthcare, you choose to follow the regulations and laws that come with working in healthcare. And if it saves a life, it saves a life. I am really on the fence.
