Theres a spiritual war going on. Those who worship and serve the "beast", i.e. the "flesh", want everyone to do so.
The flesh, its desires and passions, is the prime foe of the soul. Its lusts are contrary to the intentions of the Holy Spirit. The flesh is associated with the "world" and Lucifer. The flesh is corrupt, prone to "sin", given over to evil habits, i.e., "vices" of every kind. All media are involved in providing products, and especially ser-"vices" that appeal to the worldly desires and passions of the flesh.
