Herpes is viral and can lie dormant in cells literally undetectable for years until it decides to outbreak again. Anyone selling you a "cure" for Herpes is most likely making an unsubstantiated claim. That said, if it makes you feel better, it's priceless I suppose. Everyone is eventually going to have herpes and/or HPV. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 5213553 02/23/2013 11:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | what herpes carriers have to worry about is Shingles! Chicken pox is also a form of herpes and anyone whose had any form of herpes can turn up with shingles. Guess back in the day when people use to put their kids into baths with a kid who was in full blown mode of chicken pox in order to make their kid it then, rather than later, weren't aware of shingles. |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 5213553 02/23/2013 11:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ok wait, maybe I'm mistaken about any form of herpes being able to cause shingles.. perhaps it's only the Chicken pox zoster strain. Varicella zoster virus (VZV) is one of eight herpes viruses known to infect humans and vertebrates. It commonly causes chicken-pox in children, teens and young adults and herpes zoster (shingles) in adults and rarely in children. [link to en.wikipedia.org] and dang, 8 types? Never knew that. Viruses are quite easyto cure. That would include cancer viruses, heart disease viruses, diabetes 1 viruses, Alzheimer's viruses, Parkinsons viruses, in fact all modern chronic diseases are caused by viruses. And all modern chronic diseases are quite easy to cure. But viruses being easily cured would put the medical industry out of business. |

Viradux-AU has completely stopped my outbreaks since starting it 14 months ago... what would you call that if not a cure? I guess if I am still contagious that would be one thing but I have had a partner for last 8 months and not given it to him. |
