Japan didnt overrun China, they controlled key cities. The organized peasants armies kicked them out. It didnt happen over night, but in the end China defeated Japan.

If Japan were to fight a war against China, the challenge would be for them to turn it into a long term war of attrition. The weakness of the Chinese is the same weakness that did in the Tsarist Army in World War I, the potential for political unrest at home.

Japan, by contrast, would have greater unity and the ability to keep at it longer. If they build a stronger navy and coastal defenses, I think the could become an island the Chinese could not invade, and should China enter into such a war, the political consequences of failing to the People's Republic would be immense.

Actully if any of you have ever bothered to read your history you would know that China has always been the dominant power in Asia. Japan beat China once, and that's when it was in turmoil. Japan never beat Chinain WW2, they were still in the fight with China. Not to mention the thing with vVietna, the vVietnamese claim to have won but history would say otherwise. They lost more troops, they lost more ground and they lost more equipment. Advanced technology didn't come from Japan, it came from the west and Japan used it to invade China in wW2. That'show they got the edge. China has always been more advanced than Japan. Their culture and history is just more dominant. The Japanese have an aggressive history, and it's always China that taught Japan to calm down. China in all of it's 6000 years of history has been the world'sddominant power for 500 years, that is the longest out of any country. The Chinesealways win in the end. You can not beat them.

If this is about usa and japan winning against china, then this is reasonable. but if this is about japan alone beating china, then this is nothing more than bullshit.

China has a way bigger army than japan-compares to the usa population. doesnt matter how many casualties inflicted by the japs, they will be overwhelmed.
