WTF? You get hurt by him flaunting it, and he gets hurt by you not eating? Dysfunctional relations at the dinner table, I'd say... |

I am outside alot and always doing things and walk as much as possible. I am 50 and eat like a pig and never gain weight. There is a difference to working out and being active. Eat the cheescake. Go for a walk. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 31625978 02/24/2013 01:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, it almost sounds like he's trying to sabotage you. Maybe, he'd feel more secure if his wife wasn't too pretty? There are some people who will do that sort of thing. When I quit smoking, my sister-in-law planted cigarettes all throughout my house to get me to start up again, because I stopped buying cigarettes for her after I quit smoking. People are even worse when it comes to respecting another person's eating preferences. I'm not a dieter, but I don't really like sweets. Since I'm thin and refusing sweets, people often mistakenly assume I'm saying no because I'm on a diet. I can't even begin to tell you the number of times I've had someone float a piece of cake or a cookie under my nose. I really don't understand why people do that. I feel for you, OP. Maybe, it's time to establish some boundaries with your husband. Tell him you don't like it when he does that and insist that he stop. There's no reason for him to be "hurt" by your decision to make your own food choices. You are not an infant that needs to be fed by someone else. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 34200404 02/24/2013 01:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've always been very careful about my weight. Since I was 16, I've eaten small meals, and worked out at least 3 times a week. I'm not a stick, but I have a nice hourglass figure and prefer to keep it that way. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31128946 My husband, and men in general don't understand this concept. They don't understand what women go through, and the sacrifices we make to keep our figures. My husband eats whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He's not fat by any means, but he's got more fat on him than I want to have on me. He's never had to sacrifice that pizza, burger, or ice-cream. He doesn't know what it's like, or how hard it is . He's always saying to me "just eat it...just a baby bite". By flaunting it in front of me, and getting his feelings hurt when I don't eat,, it makes it that much harder for me. What he doesn't understand is that women retain MUCH more fat then men do. Men burn calories at a must faster rate. That's not to mention that we have an extra layer of fat on our stomachs. If I ate the things he ate every day, I'd look like a little piglet. He would no longer have the "pretty wife". I know he doesn't want that. So, next time I tell him "no thank you", he needs to thank God that I'm willing to make that sacrifice. which benefits him in the end. Bullshit. I have met some massive fat chicks who could "eat me under the table". I mean massive amounts. I saw this fat bitch eat two family pizzas, a whole sara lee frozen cheesecake and wash it all down with a 2 litre bottle of Coke. I am nowhere near that good |

There are plenty of women that can down more food than men. |

If you run like a lunatic and really get yourself drenched in sweat, you will lose weight, running is especially good for this because running uses your shoulders, arms, all leg muscles, and abdominal muscles / core. I am saying this because I think it is OK for you to enjoy good food sometimes. BTW, foods like bacon and hamburgers should actually not put any weight on you. The types of fat in those foods are metabolised as energy, NOT put onto body fat. If you exercise a bit an hour after a "fattening" meal, you should burn it off, your body will metabolize it. Mainstream medicine, being the group of idiots / profiteers that they are, have created that myth. | Ho Doan User ID: 34464973 02/24/2013 02:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When women are dieting to lose weight, it is important for them to exercise in addition to it. Its all about calories in vs calories out, but ... Men can reduce calories in and lose weight easier than women when not exercising at all. Women who just reduce calories and dont exercise will see their metabolism slow down more than a man's due to the reduced calories via compensation, making it harder for them to lose weight. They can keep the metabolism up by exercising. Exercising to lose weight is not just about the calories burned during exercise. That is focused on way too much. The real effects come from the change in body chemistry that exercise creates. have nice day |

But BE CAREFUL not to overwork yourself, and DRINK PLENTY of water! The problem is her husband constantly waving food in her face and taking it personally when she says she doesn't want to eat it. I think her husband is the one with the issue, not her. Why do some people feel the need to chase other people around with food and then get pissy when the person doesn't eat it? Why are some people not happy unless everyone else is gorging on cake and potato chips along with them? I find food bullies to be very annoying. |
