My Husband Was Shot Tonight

This WAS a good neighborhood. We moved from a bad neighborhood to here, 12 years ago.

He is going to be OK. It was a random shooting by unknown black males in a white car. My husband had taken our Chocolate Lab out for a quick walk in the alley before bedtime. A white car pulled up to him, the driver window went down, and my husband was shot 3 times with a BB gun. One BB went through his leather coat and got his upper arm. His arm is bruised and swollen. The police and the ambulance were here at my house. My husband, who has no medical insurance, declined treatment from the Paramedics.
A few minutes after my husband was shot, there was another shooting not too far from here.
This is crazy. To see my husband come in the door, out of breath, clutching his arm and saying he had been shot, was like something out of a movie. He was about 1/2 a block down in our alley when he got shot. My husband is physically disabled. He walks slowly, with a limp, and also has emphesema. I hope the police catch these punks.

The BB went through a thick leather coat, a thick pile lined sweatshirt, and a regular sweatshirt. I had a friend shot in the belly by a BB gun years ago. He had to have surgery to remove the pellets.

BB guns can shoot 450/fps and higher. No, it isn't a high power rifle but yes modern BB guns can cause serious damage so lay off the gal.

Someone she loves was assaulted so the weapon really isn't the point. The fact that it could have been much more serious has ran thru her mind and I think she has every right to be upset. If you don't like the thread just move on instead of being dicks about it.

They are making bb guns that are much more powerful than the ones the morons used to play war with.

We used to shoot cars with our BB guns when we were kids. Kids do dumb things. What was the point of mentioning they were black, where you going somewhere with that?

We also used to have BB gun wars when we were LITTLE kids. I got shot 1/4" from my left eye once, last time I ever did that. My point is though, BBs arent really a threat, lol, unless you are shot in the EYEBALL.

One day driving at night shooting strangers with a bb gun then the next moment BAM!

Car accident.

This whole area has gone to hell in a handbasket. Even in the most affluent neighborhoods, there has been trouble.

And we both know you need to get the hell outta there.
