No more money of domestic gov. operations. What do you do then? Print more. Then the US Dollar becomes increasingly worth less. So do your savings. So do your wages. Can we survive? Sure - Mexico style. Last time I checked the peso was worth a dime. Get used to working for 8 dimes an hour at minimum wage. At least you can get a Carona for a buck! Woo hoo! This fiscal discussion should have been had and resolved ten years ago. It wasn't. Welcome to Mexico. |

Then it transitioned to be the worlds terrorist fighting force, world police force, and also fighting other countries wars and preventing other countries from going to war. Quoting: Smitty If it was dramatically downsized(because we can't afford it and don't need it anymore); could the debt eventually be paid off? The big military exists to protect against whom? Take a hard look at Russia's military these days. Is China really going to wage war against their number one customer? Without us; they have no positive cash flow. We drive and support their economy. This Friday when the mandatory cuts set in Government wide; it's a good start; but Government still needs to be massively downsized to the minimal amount. [link to federalbudget.com] it is "impossible" to pay back the so called "debt" because "printed money" has "no value" at all. it is "debt" or fake money as soon as it is "printed" by the fed and then "loaned" to the government "with interest" they have to pay back on "rubbish paper" that is "printed" for just a few cents! THE WORLD and its people "are conned" period!! |

Quoting: BOWMAN ------ Reduce military and government spending by a trillion or two a year and in just a few years the 17 trillion will be paid off Would take a huge shift in people's perspectives to pull that one off and I look around and things haven't changed that much, so at this point I would say your answer qualifies as being "beyond reason". It's a nice thought though. ------ "And I understood that in an age where there was so much ego, because of the camera, that it was very important to look for that kind of player, ...
