Protein pills, are they any good?

Or similar.

Contains 20 amino acids

Keen to buy some to take immediately after a workout, or during, and immediately after work.

Are they the same as have a protein drink (but in smaller quantities)?

Handy for when I go away and unable to carry large amounts of protein with me, or not heading straight home.

Re: Protein pills, are they any good?
if you eat too much protein, you just end up with very expensive pee

"Amino acids from ingested food that are not used for the synthesis of proteins and other biological substances are oxidized by the body, yielding urea and carbon dioxide, as an alternative source of energy."

I believe it's a waste, if you eat protein, that already naturally breaks down to the various amino acids.

Re: Protein pills, are they any good?
depends on the source of the protein... study about whey proteins and egg proteins.... are really not that great for the body...

look for proteins made from all natural sources like, chick peas and many others that are plant based... many are even high in plant based all natural steroids and steroid based compounds which are great for muscle gains...

Considering the price, amount of protein / grams, it still would be much cheaper, and would save you a lot, if you had nuts or even beef jerkey which breaks down to amino acids, with you.

But, if you want to pay it, go ahead.

I believe it's a rip off. Plus, the protein is typically derived from powdered whey protein.

Even if you, brought powdered protein powder with you, this would still much much cheaper.

Don't let that '2000' on the bottle fool you. That's only 2 grams of whey protein. You can buy a container of protein, get probably 1000% more. Plus each scoop of whey protein powder, is about 20 grams, which is equivalent, to 10 pills (or 20,000 milligrams) of the pills.

Again, if you want to save literally hundreds in the long run, at least go with the powdered form.

Good protein, from fish, eggs, etc, I believe are still better.

For example, with fish, you also get the essential oils, which are good for the eyes, lowers cholesterol, good for your skin, cell membranes, neurons, nervous system, etc.

And a few anabolic steroids never hurt either. ;)

Seriously, one of the great things about living in SE Asia, the pharmacies are self-regulated, I can walk into the local pharm and walk out with as much Andriol (oral) or any number of other injectible anabolics as I can carry.

Not much help I know but I just had to rub it in a bit.

Re: Protein pills, are they any good?
no sorry that catalog starts on 27th. the current catalog has tins of chicken in it. you should already have a catalog at your house, or get one at the shop.

this one might be good if you only want protein:

Heinz Chicken, 85 grams, natural smoke flavour, 14 grams protein, 1 gram fat, 1 gram carbs.

or sweet chilli flavour is 12 g protein, 7 g fat.

so go to coles today or tomorrow, get some CHIKKIN for $1 per tin! near the SPAM!!!
