You know, I used to worry about shit like this. Started when I was in elementary school. You know the "duck and cover' shit, then at one point China started shelling one of those little islands ( Formosa?). Then the Cuban missle crisis. I was convinced nuclear was was only a breath away and I'd never get to have my 16th birthday. Then some years later, a TV announced that due to some crisis our SAC was on high alert.

At that point, my internal response was "Good. Maybe it will happen and we can all stop worrying about it."

I'm pretty much like that today, as far as just me is concerned. Unfortunately, I stupidly went ahead and had children. So now I have them to worry about, as well as a grandchild.

But what the hell. This shit can't go on forever, so let's just get it over with. I'm tired of worrying.
