What Russia and China have learned is that approving any UN resolution that ever so slightly hints at a warning is interpreted as a green light to the US for unilateral invasion. Usually the UN is approached after US domestic legislation that grants the executive a full range of powers to act.

These last three conflicts were unprecedented and have defined a new norm, NATO acting on its own, unilaterally and preemptively.

Of course this rips to shreds the concept of national sovereignty and squarely positions the US atop an Imperial Empire.

Since the 1990s the US and others have armed and trained insurgent wars inside Russia and China, that's been going on for awhile. Basically they havent panned out as expected. Instead, now, the strategy is to nibble on their peripheries, knocking off trading partners and allies, bit by bit, creating chaos up to and including their border areas. When a contiguous area of hostile states beholden to Washington (or its allies) bumps against the other major powers,,, there should be a steady uninterupted flow of arms and jihadists, capable of continuous supply and conflict inside Russia and China -- not the isolated pockets incapable of being refreshed.
