Here is an interesting tidbit...if you want current weather info for any city just type..www.weather.gov (front slash and the city name) for example www.weather.gov/norman or www.weather.gov/dallas etc.

www.weather.gov/norman takes you to this page: [link to www.srh.noaa.gov]

Well it's officially Blizzard conditions NE of Amarillo & S. of the Canadian River right now...Heavy snow, 35mph wind...luckily we had a heavy wet snow for about an hour then a lull, then this hit, hopefully most of it will stick to the snow that's already on the ground...

Also, the ground was wet prior to the snow...

So maybe it won't drift as bad...

They're calling for 14 inches of more in my area right now...

Looks like a snow day for the kids...

Hubs was stationed in Alb. for 2 years. It's a little unusual to close it that far west, but not unheard of. Santa Rosa is the usual shut off point.

Legion, our wind stopped again. Just stopped. It was howling like it always does and it just stopped. It didn't slow down and then stop.

Well the cows are fed and in a pasture with good cover, and I put out extra hay for the horses, so feeding will go pretty quick tomorrow, I'll most likely hole up and watch some movies...

If the power goes out, I'll crank up the wall heaters and break out the board games...

When you live as far out in the sticks as I do, you don't fret this stuff much, nothing you can do about it anyway...

I'll love all this snow come May when the grass is greening up and the baby calves are playing!

Looks like you're getting massive wrap around, Saddletramp. The low is down towards Carlsbad, I think. We're just getting little fingers of returns. Nothing yet. Our update basically said there is no update now. It's still the same. Our snow is supposed to really get going around 6 am.
