Blizzard conditions will spread as far north as Topeka and Kansas City.

And I'll keep cheering these storms on to relieve us of the drought. Please let 2013 be a wet year

The weird thing is, in the 20 some years we've lived here, I don't ever remember having a blizzard warning for the South Plains.

whats good texas buckeye! yeah im with you on that one, i dont remember either. just 2 hours ago we were outside and not a cloud in sight. now its gettin dark and chilly.

Hey, Legion! I know! It was 70 and not a cloud in the sky, 2 hours ago. Now, it's really dark and the temp has dropped to 60. The wind stopped, too, just now. I'm not liking this.

I read it's 68 in Lubbock TX and they're under a Blizzard Warning. Strange, very strange. I wouldn't be surprised to see some tornadoes across the southern plains tomorrow.

wierd f'n weather. wearing shorts all day then some dark clouds move in. it looks really nice out there. all the neighborhood pets are really quiet though. even our bulldog and our blue heeler are very calm. btw im 45 minutes east of lubbock. almost here

Strange weather no doubt - I live in central Texas and today it was sunny and 70 degrees. It's supposed to storm here tonight and tomorrow the high will be only 50 !

I also noticed they've extended the Blizzard Warnings farther north and east, closer to my neck of the woods. Here in Kansas we haven't recovered from the Mother Nature beat down we got Thursday, but look out beloooowwww, cause here comes another one.

Topeka KS is right on a dividing line, so it depends on exactly where the low goes. We could see over a foot if it drifts a little more north. Either way, we'll have really high wind and lots of snow. I'm surprised we're not included in the Blizzard Warning, but it's early.

It is starting to cool down a bit here...I love snow...but do not need the discomfort it will bring...Storms are bad enough w/o the snow...

I went to a couple of stores today to resupply after round 1 and the stores here are picked clean.

This is weird, mainly because today my daughters were in no sleeved shirts because it was that hot. Anyway here is a video for more a more detailed forecast.

Been snowing for about an hour here...so far the wind is not bad though, just an awesome heavy wet snow with snow flakes the size of chicken feathers...

Probably already a 1/2 inch on the ground...visibility is shit.

I live in Clarendon. Hadn't hit here yet. Just cold and rainy. Just put the truck in the garage cause I left it out last storm and the doors froze shut. Got coffee on the pot. Just going to hunker down. This should be fun.

The winter wheat in KS and OK have pretty much had it.

Yeah the dryland wheat around here is shot, though we've had a good January and February as far as moisture, but the wheat came up good in Sept, then it played out back in Nov and Dec...

Hey Saddletramp, I'm back from town. There was NO wind when I left the house and now, the front is here. The only thing blowing so far is wind, trash, and tumbleweeds. The temp at the house is down to 43.

Mods, we need a red pin, please. This is not an ordinary storm.

I ran into a couple of friends that grew up here and they don't ever remember a blizzard warning this far south, either.
