I'm not religious and pretty much a skeptic but ever since Pope Benedict announced his retirement at the end of this month, many online sites, forums, and even the media are jumping the conclusion that a "Petrus Romanus" or a "Peter the Roman" will replace the current Pope. With that said, many claim this new pope to be , if I remember, the "antichrist", "false prophet" , etc.

What if it just means St Peters Square of Rome? A banking system and/or new type of governing facto without a pope?

Now I hear many refer to the Book of Revelation and say that Pope John Paul II is the antichrist and "may" resurrect but what if in March/April, the Vatican start a new procedure where there is NO POPE but run like a committee and they name this committee after Pope John Paul II thus "resurrecting" his name and "spirit" but not actually in the physical form?

I also heard the references of the Revelation as Israel " once was, is not, and will be" .

I'm just putting this out as a skeptic to all the prophecy stuff and looking at it from another angle that can be more realistic

I like to also add that the reason I don't believe so much of an Antichrist type person but a banking system that will impact the world and it's economy. I use the Book of Revelation 13 of the "mark of the Beast" as a reference where the Vatican uses the Church as a banking system run by a board of committee, thus a new type of "kingdom" controlling the populace.

"worship the beast" isn't like a church dedicated to this 'beast/anitchrist' where people pray and see it as a god but are forced to follow it's doctrine to 'buy, sell, trade' I believe it will be a banking computer that many will have to refer to it on a daily basis to live a normal life. Such as the internet.

We buy/sell something and have to be on the computer to check our savings which is a form of 'worship' but not in the spiritual sense as to that of God/Jesus
