Today we start a new club, the Love Club, which will give everyone a chance to compare what they think love is with other members. It's a hell of a lot more complicated than it looks like at first glance. There's love and passion, there's love of an idea and love of a person. There's love of a hamster and love of your boss. If the 600 Hate Club members join the Love Club, we'll get a great diversity of thought on what is a complex thing. And it IS okay to love your cat. We gave room on the Hate Club thread to cat haters so we'll make room on the Love Club thread for cat lovers, but...when we get to Phase Two, which is the real WHY of that love, be ready to examine where it came from and why. That may be easy with your cat, but not as easy with a husband or wife or lover. It's in your hands now.

But, it gets covered over easily by desires/expectations and fears and so is rarely seen, felt, experienced, expressed by folks. To the degree that one has let go of desires and fears, is the degree to which one will experience real Love.

After having three daughters, the love I feel for my only son overwhelms me sometimes. I feel so overprotective of him. He can be mean and say mean things to me(he's 6), but just like a duck, I let it roll off my back.....because when he tells me he loves me, it's amazing!

Looks like hate is sexier than love. With only 8 people joining, I think I'll delete this thread. Too bad. There are as many things to be learned from an examination of love as there was of hate.
