the initial poem was inspired by a book called "chamalu: the shamanic way of the heart (traditional teachings from the andes) which i just finished and particularly this quote from it:

"never go to sleep without having forgiven and forgotten, without having freed yourself of negative thoughts or feelings, without being grateful for the day you were given.

when you wake up, decide to be happy just for today because only today is real, only today are you alive, only today can you love and enjoy. we only only have one day, each day."
