Plus it saves on gas, obviously. I couldn't work from home no way. I need to be around people. Plus I would never wear pants or shave again and probably smoke a lot more. |

Yeah, but if you could mix it up like have 2 days at home, you'd prob never want to go back to 5 days a week |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 8397139 United States 02/24/2013 07:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sorry. But working from home does decrease productivity unless strict rules and guidelines are upheld and met. That being said, there could be other reasons behind this move also, like decreasing the work force. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26447781 Not in my case. I write software and am easily twice as productive from home. |

It's like everything else, there are people that abuse the system and ruin it for everyone else. And instead of punishing the abusers they go after everyone, SUCKS! |

They are worried about lack of "knowledge-transfer". Maybe they fear they will lose people who have most of the knowledge, or are planning to target them later on (i.e., the older, more expensive workers) |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1364022 United States 02/02/2014 05:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I've worked from home for sixteen years. I started out two days at home and three days in the office. I now only commute in one day a week and even that is unnecessary. I save fifteen hours in commuting time and at least $120 a week in gas. I love it of course and I am extremely organized and productive. I do accounting and it's ideal for working from home. I can't imagine being made to go into the office daily at wonder if this new yahoo policy will stick or not. Sad for those employees impacted. |
