Super Powers
They don't come immediately, like anything else in life you've got to learn to crawl before you can walk. Learn to use your instincts and feelings in conjunction with intellect.

One thing that helped me in my early days was cooking believe it or not. Something simple, like a frozen pizza. The back of the box tells you how long to cook it in the oven, but do not set a timer, instead walk away and do something else. Watch some TV, work on some artwork, read a book and grab the pizza when you feel like it's time.

Everyone's got their own flavor, that's just one of the things that helped me. More of an experiment in the beginning for me actually, but I swear it was like wielding a lightsaber with the blast shield down.

Re: Super Powers
It's not that you have to give up the clock entirely throughout your life, but try to go without it more and more. The clock is misleading, not every oven is the same. The pizza might take longer or shorter than instructed. Trust your instincts.

Eventually you might even find yourself doing things for what seems like absolutely no reason at all. The urge strikes, sometimes spontaneously, sometimes not so much. Sleep when you're tired and wake when you're ready, the alarm clock is pure evil.

Re: Super Powers
Use your intellect to interpret your instincts. Much of the time instincts are very subtle. Use your intellect, how powerful is the urge? How strongly do you feel? Sometimes use your intellect to guide yourself, but take your instincts into heavy consideration. If the instinct is strong enough use your intellect to chose purely instinct.

You might find that one day you wake up and for whatever reason you simply feel like unplugging your electronics. Perhaps you're not sure about it, this is crazy. Absorb your environment, are there other indicators involving electronics? When the urge becomes strong enough, when your environment is sending you a sign make your move. Unplug the electronics.

Re: Super Powers
To me a gift suggests not everyone already has it, but they do even if they don't know. An infant has legs, even if they don't yet know how to use them.

Time and space can be on your side, but you have to flow with it, neither directing it or ignoring it.

And a gift can always be taken away at any moment, leaving you realizing that you were just a vessel for something else.

A power is an innate ability that can never be taken away. superman

Re: Super Powers
It's not that the alarm clock is pure evil, but the idea that one must obey the alarm is. Some people are more organized than others, if you want to set an alarm that's fine, but know that you do not have to obey it. It's okay, you can be late, you can be early. Whenever you arrive it will be right on time.

So many car accidents, if only the world were on time.

Not exactly the fastest thing in the sky, but it'd take a meteor to take it down. I'd imagine air travel to be significantly safer and people would probably be more willing to take advantage of it if they were not in such a hurry.
