Yea. we need to find out how many people are serious about this and start trying whether its marching in the streets or passing out flyers. Anything, I mean anything would be the right step in the right direction. Who knows this thread should stay open though because I would love to here some ideas that people have.

To ensure longevity we need to establish alternate forms of communication just in case tptb shut down the internet

We have a few options. Ham radio. Cb. cellular. Hand written notes. Telegraph. Something other than the internet. You guys need to realize that we may not have the Internet forever. The military created it and they can sure in hell destroy it. So what say u?

Maybe we can have Trinity post somewhere on GLP what channel we'll all be on if shtf. Ok so CB has 40 channels. How about we pick channel 24. Easy to remember ya know, 24 hours in a day, Jack Bauer and such. All in agreement say 'Aye'!!!!

24 is good. I like 33 personally. :)

But I say we have a separate thread and get everyone in agreement. We need to figure out first the frequency range and how to set this up properly. Lets not get ahead of ourselves.

tl;dr

Well CB radios only have 40 channels and all of the channel tube to preset frequency which are fine tuned with squelch, I was reading that 33 and above was normally reserved for some type of communication so I didn't even want to bother and 24 u can't forget. Ham radio is a whole nother ball game and definitely deserves it's own thread bc there are many freaking frequencies and radio station types I wouldn't even know where to begin. So maybe we should say CB channel 24 and 33 as a backup if there is interference? Cool? Ham we'll discuss on another thread.
