After watching the video once, it became pretty clear to me what the situation was and after watching it multiple times it only reinforces my initial thoughts on the situation. Let me preface this by saying that I spent many years working in the entertainment industry (read clubs, raves) and have been exposed to people in various altered states thousands of times. This by no means means I am an expert, but I'd say pretty damn educated on the matter at hand. In that video, Ms. Lam is exhibiting a whole bunch of signs of straight frying. That girl is on acid. Whether she dosed herself or someone dosed her without her knowledge is up for grabs, but her movements make that pretty clear to anyone who has been around that kind of thing for any amount of time. If I was a betting man I would say she found her way up to the roof, in to that water tank, and couldn't get out.

Anyway, my take on this Elisa Lam situation:

In the video she clearly (to me) looks heffed up on goofballs. What kind of goofballs, apparently we won't know until the toxicology report comes back. Either she took the drugs on her own, or someone spiked a drink or food item she then "imbibed".

OR...in the video...she's suffering some kind of "episode". Makes me wonder, perhaps she was on a specific regiment of drugs (anti-psychotics?) which she either lost or had stolen. Being a foreigner, getting the script refilled would probably be an impossibility (because we all know in the good ole USA if no one can PROFIT off of you receiving health care...you're not fucking worthy of it).

Therefore she might've bugged out.

Either way I don't think she looks to be "communicating" with anyone in that video. She looks like she's out of her fucking mind. OR...completely encased within it.

How the fuck she ended up in the water tank is ponderous, totally. I suspect an employee's involved. As I understand it, getting to the roof like that requires by-passing numerous locked doors and the like.

Then again, people on drugs are notorious for being verrrrry resourceful (and determined).

Whichever way this goes, it's certainly fucked up.

hmm, i'm still following this thread. why? because i found the previous thread to be a tiresome exercise of the other OP's thread discipline.

now this thread is being constantly attacked by what would seem to be an organized effort to discredit this OP, "333", who is gracious, and even open to a fault.

since this has become a contest of both wits and imagination in "outing" the ACs and the alternate identities of various posters, i will try to not engage in who is who, but dang it looks like the poison pen club is just five fingers of one hand, and at least one of you is clearly exercising a personal vendetta against the OP.

this case is fascinating because of the clues, the setting, and the cast of characters. LAPD having been in the news lately, it is even more compelling. any case that could touch on gang, occult, or mafia-related involvement will naturally be hard to manage by any agency, and even harder to talk about if they do investigate properly, so we are not getting any news on this case.

the Hotel Cecil is inherently creepy, and stands as a symbol of everything LA has ever been--both grand and abandoned. as the owner has said, it will not change anytime soon because the zoning commission or whomever has stated it must maintain its role as a hotel that caters to the fringes or else there would be no remaining housing for the disabled, veterans or otherwise, in downtown LA.

Elisa Lam was apparently a guest of the Stay section of the hotel--known as a colorful hostel within the hotel, and having limited access to the main hotel, although presumably the fire escapes and stairwells may have allowed her to cross over to explore or visit there, for whatever reason she may have been merely curious.

the vimeo account about the "secret" cecil project which shows a series of 30-second phone videos is bizarre but probably irrelevant.

It saddens me that this girl is dead and what a family would go through finding out their daughter was found in a hotel water tank. It is unthinkable for me to imagine finding out that the water bathed in, supplied by the hotel, was contained in a tank with the body. The infection of tb in one of the saddest, most down trodden place in the US is also upsetting. 333 coming from a place of abuse by those who were responsible for his care, is another trauma.

This entire thing has brought me to the serious understanding that I care less for finding one person guilty of one of the horrible crimes committed here, but as a collective we work on being more responsible, loving, and speak up when shit does not look right. I am doing my part in my life, but darn we need some intense healing in this world. Do right people.

There was no update from the heath department about whether the case in Whittier was at all related to the strain on Skid Row.
