Britain's highest Catholic cleric, Keith Cardinal O'Brien, has been accused of 'inappropriate' behavior with fellow priestsO'Brien, head of the Catholic Church in Scotland, is accused of misconduct with priests dating back to the 1980s, reported British newspaper The Observer. Read more: [ link to www.nydailynews.com] Quoting: DoorBert I suppose the reports of that "secret" vatican report may have been true, and the rats are jumping off the burning ship. What a tangled web we weave... No, I am sure O'Brien was thrown off the ship. And I am not sure that he was a rat. Maybe he was a strong candidate to win the conclave and Benedict wanted to prevent that. With all the fancy language and stuff now, all that matters is winning the conclave. I suspect Benedict is resigning now, while he still has most of his health. so he is in a position to influence the result of the conclave. This is an example. He made sure O'Brien would not be in the conclave and almost certainly could not win it.
