It was claimed to be the Earth yesterday even though the Earth is currently on Stereo Behind HI1 [link to stereo-ssc.nascom.nasa.gov] this object appears to be at least twice as large as the earth in the image on Stereo Ahead HI1 in any event!

remember that both of the stereo satellites are traveling faster then the earth and will soon be passing each other behind the sun....
then stereo ahead will be giving us images from behind the earth's orbit and stereo behind will be giving us images from ahead.
at this time both should have earth clearly in their images.
this has been talked about for some time now....even awaited.
as far as i know this is the first time we have seen images from behind our sun of our planet earth.

go forward in time and see how they will pass by each other and head back around towards earth.
