A grey Mercedes driven by Yaroun Mayor, Hassan Awada exploded on Monday on Hosh highway, the National News Agency correspondent reported.

Awada was injured and immediately transferred to the Lebanese-Italian hospital.

Sources told LBCI that the blast was caused by an electrical fault.

Security and army forces cordoned the scene and launched an investigation into the incident.
