I could see a civil war degrading into non-conventional warfare simply because of the fact that war resources will not be as readily available to rebel forces without outside support. Logistics will play a key part if it does break. The government has all the toys. The Rebs will eventually resort to attacking government logistics centers for critical war fighting and support materiel and this would become one of the main focus of the conflict.

Reb forces will be limited to small unit actions until they can have access to assembly areas, establish a logistics infrastructure, and create a force structure large enough to (battalion or larger size elements) defeat and destroy government forces en masse. Asymmetric or guerrilla warfare eventually reverts back to conventional warfare.

Popular support for the Reb cause is very, very, very critical and that is where the Reb effort will die. There is just too much sheep here. With the possibility of forced relocation, this becomes even harder to achieve. We've forced relocated masses of people before with resounding success.

So in short, some of us will fight especially those of us 11B's, 0311's. But without safe areas to conduct mass training, refitting and resupply and without external - financial and material - support just as France did during the Revolution, it will be a losing effort.
