Well all that "mumbo-jumbo science and bs" lead to us knowing about the comet now. Astronomers know that they don't know where the next comet is going to come from or where it will go, but at least astronomy can lead to its discovery when it gets close enough. That's not BS, that's real discovery, and it's much more useful than trying to get that information out of some idiot who thinks it's all "mumbo-jumbo bs."
