Yep that's what Kerry said, directed generally at Americans. Nice to be represented so well by his elitist snobbery.

What's wrong with saying something like "Freedom is to have diverse idea's and the best ones come forward"? Or "Freedom is about communities comming together without fear of persecution"?

Rather, his arrogant notion of freedom, American and democratic ideals are indignified by what our current Secretary of State just said.

Stupid is is stupid does, Mr. Kerry!

Typo in the Subject title. I was typing "American" in the search of another browser window when this window became active.

I can't fix it, but it really does chaps me this joker is the Secretary of State saying the things he's saying.

I have a feeling he'll be putting more feet in his mouth.

"People have sometimes wondered about why our Supreme Court allows one group or another to march in a parade even though it's the most provocative thing in the world and they carry signs that are an insult to one group or another," he added.
"The reason is, that's freedom, freedom of speech. In America you have a right to be stupid - if you want to be," he said, prompting laughter. "And you have a right to be disconnected to somebody else if you want to be.
"And we tolerate it. We somehow make it through that. Now, I think that's a virtue. I think that's something worth fighting for," he added.

However, Americans' right to be stupid is not compatible with their right to have guns, because rights come with responsibility.
