I saw that trailer on TV last night and said the same thing to my wife about it!
Without seeing the movie, it's hard to know exactly the context it's used. If it's just a news cast with no plot about it, it could just be that they added it in late. I know I've seen other movies where the trailer had a line in it that wasn't in the movie too. Here Comes the Boom comes to mind as an example of that.
