PigsInSpace (OP) User ID: 27539979 Canada 02/26/2013 07:25 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Dead serious. The only good parts have long since been poisoned by the shit they're under. Sure donuts are good, but you're not going to catch me eating a half rotten one soaked in clorox. Hmm. I understand and agree that everything has been tainted with bullshit. I feel helpless to do anything about it because it seems like there are too many people in the world to appeal to, too much diversity in philosophy and religion. No matter how well reasoned you are, someone will disagree, so... how do we take back the government and economy without harming anyone else? |

I love my home state of Kentucky this is the land of my father and his father. My heritage is deeply embedded in this state. one of my favorite things about this nation is free speech... Many countries would have you punished for being critical of the nations leader(s) Here in America you can mock, laugh, jest the leaders all you want... (as long as its non threatening) and nothing of harm would come to you... that is awesome! _______________________ |

Although I do agree with you that being able to jest the leaders is a positive.. some part of me thinks it is allowed so that people release tension that would otherwise be released through revolution. Quality of life and security is decreasing, more freedom's are being infringed upon.. if this were to occur 200 years ago, I do not think people would be laughing at all... just my 2 cents... ps. American comedians are the funniest in the world though, haha |

I love that we still have choices...even if they are not all good for us..and are dwindling rapidly I love that we are not all living 10 to a room/living in filth(unless by choice)and watching our children die from hunger, (yes, I know this does happen here, but it is not the norm, yet) I love the seasons, the mountains, the smell of spring... I love the Westerns, John Wayne, the classics, too I love that my children and I can walk outside and not have to worry about stepping on a landmine...that we do not live in constant fear of being killed the moment we step outside or when sleeping at night because war is constantly being waged around us... I love those who fought/are fighting for the things we currently enjoy..the things we so carelessly do not preserve... You accept the love you think you deserve~~~ Love cannot live where there is no trust~~~ Truth has no temperature~~~ Love like it's never gonna hurt~~~ Have no regrets~~~ |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 21506377 United States 02/26/2013 09:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Day in and day out, I read posts about how America is falling further into disaster, about the seeming decline in quality of life and culture. I would like to hear today's perspective on the exact opposite. Quoting: PigsInSpace I am not a native American, nor a native Canadian. I was born in a poor European country and left the mother land with my family many moons ago in the pursuit of a better life. I have traveled to America several times. There are many things I love about America.. mainly, the people. I find Americans to be open, friendly, and very passionate. As a young man, I was amazed at how friendly and open the ladies were. Single young American men, your women are the friendliest in the world. Do not be nervous, just say hello and magic will happen. You're totally wrong about the women. American culture has done bad things to them. |

Etc... There is no place on the planet where people do not abuse power, it is one of the choices along the road. If you know of anywhere please send info asap. The question is, what do you want to do with what we do have to work with ? |

Growing up wasn't so bad, no crazy laws, not as crazy leaders. I'd say the only good thing about this country are our national parks to get away from all the idiots, even though a ton go there, but I go to get away from people. The women are horrible...I could go on and on. I'm seriously thinking about moving to another country very soon. |
