Good: Video and sound production were very professional looking. Whoever mixed it did a damned good job. The drummer is really good at complex rythyms, and the guitar player can hold his rhythm. Lyrics were OK, and the vocalist was better than average. Bad: Not very technical, but good, solid riffs. I imagine that's what the band is driving at. "Good" guitar players are a dime a dozen. "Great" guitar players are rare. Needs more key changes. The bass gets muddled a bit, needs to punch through the mix a bit more. Basically, they're pretty good for people who like that kind of music. I can't really tell you which band they sound like, but they don't sound very original to me. Just so you know where I'm coming from, this is the kind of music I listen to every day: Allman Brothers Band John Scofield/Pat Metheny Bach's English Suites/Glenn Gould Metallica ...And Justice For All Slayer - Reign in Blood, Seasons in the Abyss Samhain/Misfits - everything Miles Davis - Bitches Brew, On the Corner Butthole Surfers - Electriclarryland, Independent Worm Saloon Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsies, Are You Experienced Phish/Grateful Dead - pretty much everything Expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize... |

Thank u. :) Yeah, you're welcome! I just wanted to add, as long as they're enjoying themselves, there's no reason to stop performing, ever. I was in several bands, and it can be a blast. They can go touring and get to see some cool places, drink a shitload of free drinks, meet hot women, you get paid a bit, and so on. Even if they don't get signed by a decent label (it's exceedingly rare,) they can make a lot of connections in the music business, and could end up working for the rest of their lives around something they love and actually enjoy doing. Talent is only 10 per cent of success. the other 90 is hard-ass work. I was looking at their YT page, and it looks like a lot of people like them. They may put on a hell of a show, and that will always bring the crowds in. They had over 2000 views, which is not insignificant for a largely unknown band. I wish them the best in their musical endeavors. Expose, disrupt, misdirect, discredit, or otherwise neutralize... |
