Normally that would be in 2018, but no one expects Chávez to last that long. (As it happens, 2018 is also when Raul Castro has said he will retire.) If Chávez dies or resigns or is incapacitated, there would have to be elections in thirty days. If he had left office in January, the chavistas would likely have won that election easily, since the opposition’s leadership is weak and divided. But two weeks ago, the government announced a 46.5-per-cent devaluation of the Venezuelan currency, the strong bolívar. Chávez’s government has now devalued the currency four times in ten years, and each time the results have been inflation and a scarcity of everyday goods. Popular discontent about the latest devaluation will only make the chavistas’ task harder, and so a countdown has begun for the team of rivals, too. This is a rough translation: Guillermo Cochez, a Panamanian politician, says the president of Venezuela is deceased. Talking with CNN Chile, the former ambassador said that on December 30 President Chavez had been declared brain dead in Cuba, returning to Venezuela eventually in that state. Therefore Chavez could not have been visited by the various leaders who reportedly met him... The information obtained by the former diplomat says are "sources within the Venezuelan government" and that is information that has been circulating for weeks... Guillermo also said Chavez died four days ago and asked her daughters to disconnect the ventilator which was connected to survive. this translation is accurate |

The likelihood that Venezuela's Hugo Chavez is close to death will pitch rivals against one another in a battle for power and oil riches, and trigger political shock waves across the region. And could endanger the survival of Cuba's communist regime which is dependent on his largesse for cheap oil [link to www.telegraph.co.uk] Sean Penn will be appearing shortly as the new Venezuelian president as soon as he & O finish their mourning process together. |

He will lie and rot in that bed before his closest advisor(s) will allow his death to be known. I'm betting no one steps in that bedroom except a select few who are enjoying the power game and riches that come with it. |
Dr. Acula Senior Forum Moderator User ID: 5240 United States 02/27/2013 09:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | "Don't Believe the Report About Hugo Chavez's Death Just Yet On Wednesday night, one of the more obscure outposts of the CNN empire reported that Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez had died, citing a pretty sketchy Panamanian source named Guillermo Cochez. CNN Chile reported quite bluntly: "Hugo Chávez is dead." The news itself, if true, is not unbelievable. The once bombastic politician has been struggling with cancer for sometime now and has largely been out of the public eye for months. But Guillermo Cochez is also arguably a conspiracy theorist. Earlier on Wednesday, Cochez — and only Chochez — reported that Chávez had been brain dead since December 30. Cochez said that Chávez was being kept on life support and later, citing sources within the Venezuelan government, added that his daughters had finally decided to pull the plug. Assuming the best for President Chávez's health, it sort of sounds like Cochez is just trolling the Venezuelans." Specifically, cancerous cells. Another fast growing cell that usually is also impacted by these drugs, are hair follicles. A guy I worked with had testicular cancer. (he got exposed to a carcinogenic hydraulic fluid for several hours.) During the treatment, He took it as an opportunity to smoke like there was no tomorrow. In retrospect, if I had testicular cancer... I probably would also. |
