Rape victim might be expelled from university for speaking out against attacker
An American college student is facing expulsion for publicly speaking out about being raped – even though she never once mentioned the name of her alleged attacker.

Her biggest mistake was using the campus's rent-a-cops. She should have used the local police, assuming they're any better.

People die daily from domestic violence, and still idiots ridicule the problem. Why are cops so scared to go to DV calls then?
Because those perps are very dangerous.

Did she report the Rape to the Police?

Was there a Rape Test?

How long AFTER the alledged "Rape" did she wait before she brought it to anybody's attention?

From the article it appears that there was NO POLICE REPORT EVER FILED (or 99.9% odds it would have been mentioned in the article).

Since there is NO timeline in the article the rational assumption is that she started complaining about the alledged Rape LONG after it supposedly happened.

WHY no Police Report?

WHY no timeline (probably very long period of time until the complaint)

Is she just a jilted lover now trying to get even?

Did anything actually ever happen? (without a Police Investigation that becomes virtually impossible to determine)

I am NOT defending "rape" ... but this whole story, based on the quoted article, smells to high heaven like either being made up or a relationship gone bad with an intent to retaliate against the guy.

(Maybe someone else can locate a better article)

9teen The problem with many of these cases is that in the end it comes down to "he said - she said." And like it or not this is also relevant...The court also used her past suicide attempt against her, allegedly implying that she was “emotionally unstable”.

That's the problem with campus rentacops, they don't do a full investigation. Probably because they're under pressuse to dampen any negative pr.

Was it an actual rape where a guy jumped her from behind and rammed his cock inside her, or a date rape scenario?

Was she raped, at all? This is a question of fact that is still in the court.

A guy who is accused (publicly) in the courts, who is currently presumed innocent, would indeed be intimidated by all this. And she knows it.

Think if the roles were reversed and a man was accusing another man, or a woman, of some crime say theft. The case is still in the courts, the accused still presumed innocent, maybe completely innocent. Is it still OK to talk as if a crime occurred?

The story left a lot out. I figure it went one of two ways.

In one scenario, she was date raped and called the campus pretend cops who didn't call the police and hushed everything up. Yes, date rape is rape. If she said "NO" and he forced himself on her, then it was rape.

In another, she's a crazy drama queen who was never raped, or maybe just wants to say that drunken sex is rape, but really just wants to get back at an ex boyfriend.

The part about her not naming the 'rapist' is b.s.. They were dating on campus at one point. So if she said that it was her ex boyfriend who raped her, then everyone knows who he is.

Which leaves him in the nasty position of being presumed guilty of rape by possibly thousands of people, without being allowed his day in court to defend himself.

The only thing I know for sure is that journalists are extremely lazy with getting all the facts. Which leaves everyone in the position of jumping to conclusions.

This is just disgusting.

Obviously the college endorses rape

I would leave and go to another school anyway if I was her.

This just shows how

All the questions you raise sound like the sort of things the court would be trying to understand. At this point it's not the journos' job to find the facts in this murky disputed situation, but the court's.

She might be telling the truth.

She might be trying to tell the truth but have the facts wrong.

She might be lying.

We don't know. We don't know. We don't know. And until we do know, she is accusing a man on campus who is legally presumed to be innocent.

This complaint must be considered on its merits. Otherwise, a way to get away with creating an intimidating environment would be to accuse your target of some crime.

Again, I don't know if he raped her, someone else raped her, nobody raped her. The university doesn't either. What they know is that legally he is presumed innocent at this time, and it would be unfair to him to allow the threatening situation to persist until the legal case is settled.

There are a lot of things that don't get reported in Chapel Hill.

-Unexplained "accidental deaths" of Frat students. 2 in the last few months.

-Murders of female students that have "no suspects or leads"

-A Frat student shot to death bt the State Police on I-40

-Shit, there was the abduction and execution of the Student body president!!!

I'm not making this up folks, look it up!

A lot of old money that lives here too and UNC CH is a magnet for legacies of leaders from all over the state and country.

I can't help but think that this place may have some role in some of the nefarious activities...

"Just a private social club where they have parties..."

Now where have we heard that before?
