Military helicopters training over Raleigh scaring people now ------ WTF IS GOING WITH ALL THIS!!!

I was walking down Hillsborough Street (near NCSU) at 1:00 pm today and looked up in the sky to see an Osprey flying fairly low. I have never seen an Osprey flying around Raleigh, and thought it was very weird.

100% confirmed. Driving through NCSU's campus 45 minutes ago (4:00EST) and a helicopter looking similar to an Osprey flew over. It was definitely armed with what appeared to be 4 or 6 missles. I'm not seeing enough pictures of armed Ospreys to say 100% that was the type.

humm...I really hope some people took pictures...

Kicking myself for not snapping one with my phone. It is very normal for traffic copters to be passing over during rush hour, so it didnt seem like a big deal when I heard one passing... but when I saw it, I was quite impressed.

The positive side is some of your mainstream neighbors might decide you aren't crazy and start watching the internet for news and to see what's up. Likely we are all too dumbed down to get their message unless mainstream news feeds it to you.

We can't even figure out what hit Russia when it was likely themselves doing their own ICBM missile exercises.It looks like North Korea did try to hit Texas/LA and they just thought it was a Texas sized sparkler or meteorite with Korean/Chinese writing on it.

I wanted to post this yesterday but was under a blanket ban. We live in Western North Carolina at the top of a mountain near Mt. Mitchell. About twice a week we have a large military plane fly low over our home late at night using night vision. It is quite the nuisance since it rattles our windows and wakes us up but that is the only noticeable military activity we have in this area (with the exception of the occasional pair of chinooks we see fly by from a distance).

Until yesterday...when two FULLY ARMED Apache helicopters flew low directly over our home. In the decade that we have lived here, I have NEVER seen this before! We are in a very remote, rural area so where they may be holding urban drills in Raleigh with these Apache helicopters, I wonder if that explains why we saw them in our area yesterday. I don't mind telling you that I have a VERY unsettling feeling about this!

regarding the recent clandestine military activity in Western NC. I think it is further west than Mt. Mitchell, but maybe it is related. Keep your eyes open and let us know of any abnormal patterns. I am in Raleigh so I'll do the same!

This is conditioning so you will lose your shock value and ignore it and/or live in absolute fear of it and cowar when they show up using live ammo and snatching people out of their homes. This is going to become the new norm

I've heard on and off about Western NC and various bunkers and underground facilities in that area....I think there is a thread or two actually on GLP!

I live in Garner, NC...outskirts of Raleigh, and I hear helicopters all week particularly in the afternoon.

They are flying low too. Loud and Low.

Seems they don't fly when it's raining or very cloudy.

There are and have been military helicopters flying over north raleigh for months now. Not as many or as big of an event on Feb 27, but every day several times a day/night usually two helicopters together. Flying low as well, I'm talking like under 500 feet, certainly under 1000 feet.

I should probably just take a picture of the tail number and report it. Doing this once in awhile is one thing, but every day, its just asking for a tragic accident. If something happens, there is no time to autorotate to someplace safe, they are going down exactly where they are and they are going to kill people on the ground. It also just raises suspicion. Its gotta be at least twice a day.

Am I the only one in north raleigh that notices this???

I just heard a few over my house off Six Forks. It's 10:30pm. At about 8:15 this evening, I was running down Six Forks and 4 military helicopters flew over. This has been happening almost every day, at different times of the day. I work in Cary and don't hear them there. There must be something seriously going on. Why over Raleigh?

Same thing happened in midtown ATL in 2005 or 2006...people literally running for cover in the streets screaming and crying. Grown men bugging out. Apaches, explosion, smoke...just INSANE.

I live in Garner, NC and there are helicopter flights on a regular basis. As a matter of fact there is one going over right now. They are usually early in the AM and now when it is dark and can not be identified.
