Quoting: LittleMissDictator I thought it was an earthquake, but then nothing showed up on the maps. its BIG! you are kinda tid bit far there from San Diego I know!!! Look at the thread links I posted above in this thread. The people form AZ started posting about the shake and boom right around the same time I posted my EQ San Diego thread. Look at the time stamp! The threads were very similar in the fact that they all thought it was an EQ, but that nothing was showing up on the maps! |

It was quite similar to when the space shuttle was landing at edwards and causing the sonic booms... But normally you get two booms in quick secession with something entering the atmosphere. And not sure if i heard two in quick secession. |

Civilians are safe for now. You need to add a comma and a few more periods there for emphasis like; Civilians are safe, for now.... . Yes,... me thinks his dad is a mean, strict, dude!!! |

It scared the crap out of me 2. Some people think it was a sonic boom and Davis Monthan just doesn't want to admit it 3. rattled the windows, house shook a little bit, sounded like something heavy landed on my roof...had a thunder like sound to it, deep percussions..was very windy, prior to Boom. I live midtown 4. Yeah, I thought maybe it was a real powerful gust of wind. I was dozing off/half asleep so it REALLY startled me! Haha, even grabbed my nine. 5. series of booms....like thunder 6. Yeah what the hell were those!!!!??? I thought my water heater was exploding! 7. I felt it and heard it..happened twice, it felt more like a sound wave than anyhting.. 8. was a pretty quiet night, I was doing a quiet CranioSacral session with a Client and the wind really perked up. Windchimes going off..then the BOOMs...you could feeeel a build up..it was as if the heating/cooling unit on the roof of my guesthouse was rocking...I mentioned to my patient that it sounded like a mountain lion landed on the roof....then the wind died down....so weird |
spot126 User ID: 31114468 United States 02/28/2013 02:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | my wife heard it in Arizona City shook the house she thought someone crashed into our garage. No answers, No explanation. strange thing tho our friends 2 streets away heard nothing but another friend about a mile away heard it too. it was not an earthquake but there have been previous reports of underground explosions heard and felt all over Arizona. my theory is they are tunneling for a cross country underground transportation system. Anonymous Coward User ID: 16761212 United States 02/28/2013 02:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Tweet messages started about 7:45 p.m., many from residents of Tucson's west side, saying a large explosion rattled windows at some homes. Tucson police received reports of two jets flying over about 7:40 p.m., just seconds before the boom was heard, said spokesman Sgt. Chris Widmer. But it still isn't known it was a sonic boom.
