Hear them all the time in Newfoundland PA, thought it was dynamite from shale operations.. Always at night though.

When a boom was heard in Oregon, somebody setup a google map and had residents report on where they heard the boom and how loud. This helped police pinpoint the source.

this afternoon in mesa i heard loud bombs and felt them. even spooked my dog. she jumped up and looked confused. they sounded really far away. but was definitely a big boom. it was between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. didnt mark the time. but was out in my back yard around them. if i had been talking i would have never heard it.

That one dolt claims the girl telling him of what she heard, that she was 'crazy'. Typical asshole response from the actual crazy person. Not concerned whatsoever with his surroundings because he's a barby girl, in his barby world.

Funny how it is all becoming basic knowledge now.

out of all the reports I read one thing stood out

people reported the WIND picked up before the event...

some people felt the wind or noticed the wind or heard their wind-chimes going nuts

Maybe instead of a solid object such as asteroid or comet, there are some other types of space things out there that can crash into our atmosphere, usch as gas balls or balls of energy or protons/neutrons etc?

Weve had unexplained booms here in NC before many times over the years, ever since I was very young. I remember occasionally hearing them as a kid, and no dynamite operations in the area. As a kid I always thought they were just sonic booms from jets, even though no jet was ever visible when we heard them. They are such a weird, unique, deep, 'large' noise that you feel as much as hear.

Another interesting, but probably unrelated thing, is that the space station passed over Tucson at 7:23PM, the the sound was heard around 7:45ish. Most of the reports of loud booming were reported fromt he west side of town, however i live on the far east side of town and heard it. The house was making loud creaking noises all night long, which normally does not occur.

Yeah, the 'Seneca Guns'.....felt one or two every year when I lived in Charleston, SC. From the descriptions these people are giving they 'feel' pretty much the same....

Got a call from a woman in Santa Rosa Village, 100 miles west of Tucson, who felt the #BOOM at 7:40p.m. Furthest west report we've heard

boom sound may be precursor to big eq. several unusual eq's around 4.0 today near calif, nevada border. get ready for a big one.

if this was last night.....between 9pm-1030pm, i heard a very faint booming for about ten sec....at first i thought probably a airplane, but couldnt locate it (i was inside when i heard it, went outside to check)This was in tempe/s.scotsdale
