Yep, and the originator of this article saying WalMart is in trouble was Bloomberg. You know, Michael 'I HATE GUNS' Bloomberg.

Yeah, think about it. He' trying to crash Bentonville because they sell guns.

Re: Empty Shelves in Walmart?
The superwal mrt in my area looked low stocked in one or two empty aisles and the selectioned has narrowed. There are only a few check out lanes and lines have been long with a 10 to 15 minute wait. It is like a lounge and not a store, people hugging in the middle of aisles reuniting each week, no one seemed to mind the wait, but me. Many have family first welfare cards and many were overweight and sluggishly in a daze.

Re: Empty Shelves in Walmart?
here I've noticed the local Toys'R'US and Winners both with empty shelves. Also Walmart seems to have lots of useless crap but runs low on things that are more useful and on sale.

Ontario here....
 Quoting: freeasabee1

Im also in Ontario. I was in Giant Tiger and TOys R Us last weekend same thing at both stores. Pissed me off, there was nothing interesting to buy my son for his birthday. GIant tiger was worse. Little juice and coffee cream which was what I went for. I ended up going home with none.

I have noticed a reduction in the number of items. In the store. Walmart in Amarillo Texas has not restocked an item for months. Was in the store yesterday looks like a store having trouble?

Maybe the suppliers cannot afford to sell to Walmart.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1384965

They have been reducing customer choice now for some time. Discontinuing many different items from fish hooks to can goods.

Not with Wal-Mart, but noticed grocery store chains here abandoning brand name products in lieu of generic store brands and MUCH less of a selection in most departments.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35322669

I concur...same here in S. Florida. And not much price difference between store/generic and name brands.

Re: Empty Shelves in Walmart?
Issue would be with the importation side as 99.999% of all Walmart items come from China.

When China stops all imports to the US (sanctions) this problem will be not just Walmart but nation wide in about every product area.

When China stops shipping the US will stop functioning as it does today.

This is one of the primary reasons to have prep supplies.

The USA is dependent on China for our most basic consumer needs and they have the power to cut us off.

Also...anyone who thinks China needs the US to buy their stuff has not been watching the change in global economics and the shift away from the dollar in anticipation of this very event.

With sanctions in place...the US will be worse off than Iraq or N. Korea ever was during the height economic sanctions and empty store shelves will be the norm nation wide.
 Quoting: PIR

Yeah, China stopping imports to US. Our store shelves would all be empty! Not that I care. I would rather buy American-made, but there's just not much of it.

Also true that China NO LONGER NEEDS US to buy their shit. They can put the screws to us more and more. And don't tell me "if they did that we wouldn't have the money to pay them back for all the loans."

They've been paid back! In US SOIL. THey own America, lock, stock and barrel. They own most of the Real Estate and land. They are paid back, and we are being lied to about it! They'll keep buying more and more until one day there are more Chi-coms here than Americans and we all work for some Chink.

BTW - if you haven't already, you've gotta read Trinity's thread today. It's right along in line with THIS one. Same shit, same concepts, same worries.

Just reading a story on zerohedge about walmart having issues resupplying. I've noticed the same thing in other stores here in Canada, anyone notice anything similar?

You are watching the stupidly naive global trade mechanism called Just-In-Time start to vaporize before your eyes as China and India's burgeoning middle classes demand all those old..cheap, made in China goods you once balked at.

They are the target market now......U.S is still important, but not enough to focus all the BRICSS efforts on.

It really isn't hard to figure out why...unless you are an American nationalist/jingoist with your head up your proverbial ass.

Well, DUH!

If they are expecting civil disorder or thermonuclear war resulting form attacking Iran and hence Russia, wouldn't they be busy at work building supplies in the DUMBS (the bunkers) on the quiet?
