to the cowards that can post, badmouth, and run down my marines and brothers and sisters of other branches... i salute you for standing up for your first amendment rights. but you are fucking idiots. i did not join because i could not be gainfully employed, or had no other skill set to contribute to the world, in fact most of the Marines that are under my charge and a vast majority of the ones i know are in the same boat i am.
i had a great career and was a great contributor to my community and state. i joined the greatest ground of people in the world to go and fight the "illegal" war ( your words not mine) to protect what i believe in and keep it out of my backyard. Until you go to these places and see what is going on in the rest of the world you will never know what needs to be done. do i agree with everything the government says i should know but i follow lawful orders and carry out my mission to the fullest with the upmost professionalism, and dignity. i don't do my best cause that would not be good enough, i get it done flat out. You watch your liberal agenda news or your conservative agenda news, which ever way you swing and you suck it all in like a fat bag of dicks in a whore house. the truth is we are needed, hated by some but loved by more. Regardless of why we are there or which politician said we are going ( every goddamn one lies to your face and you just sit back and take it, we call it the green wennie) if we were not in Afghanistan then Iran would be or Pakistan, and far far worse things would happen. We are the very tip of that long illustrious spear the guards the people.

Only fools applaud or condemn an entire group of people, a religion, a way of thinking. You cannot known all the members of any large group well enough to say that they are "this" or "That." I was in the army for two years and met others in the army who were brilliant, stupid, opinionated, dedicated, lazy, etc., just like the mix of your neighbors where you live.
