oh wait, let me guess, if you believe that God made animals and birds "instinctively wise"....then you COULDNT believe in Science RIGHT?????

Instinct. A set of basic instructions coded into DNA that implant in the brain at conception. They cover various subjects like how to go about finding food, water, reproduction, what other predator animals they should fear, etc. The bare minimum information any animal needs to know to keep it alive, or at least give it a chance at staying alive.

It was programmed in by God so he didn't have to chase around every last dung beetle and find food for him so the species didn't die out.

I suppose your desire to move from a cold room into a warm room was planted in your mind by God as well then? Hell why not just claim yourself AS God seeing as he seems to be behing every decision ever made. But then you can't can you because you are a slave to sky daddy

actually, yes, he designed humans with a brain and central nervous system that enables us to feel cold, heat etc..

Re: how do birds know how to migrate? Did evolution pop it in their brain or were they designed?
OK, In the center of our brains and in all animal brains we have a pineal gland.. and in the middle of that gland sits a zirconium diamond.. yes, it is basically a radio transmitter. Cell phone companies are currently researching on how to utilize this zirconium. Anyhow, that is why the birds know where they are going.

You tell me then how a turtle born on the land in a hole in the dirt knows immediately that he should make his way toward the nearest body of water.

Instinct is not just something I made up out of my fertile imagination. Even the most godless biologist on the planet knows it exists. Where does that core base of knowledge come from? That's the only question on the table for discussion. I say it came from God? If you have another idea lets hear it.

Sure..OK...Maybe there was an architect at the beginning....but that does not in any way whatsoever...in any form of the imagination mean that the book manipulated and written by humans that tells the story of a dudes life through talking donkeys and bushes is accurate and representative in the least of reality....

Basically...your posts, and threads, and comments are more supportive of Buddism and not Christianity in the least....

Buddism speaks of what you post every day, and Christianity is a fairy tale....

LOL Christians are silly and self centered and self serving....Why do you think the bible says to stay childlike in Christ? Because if you were to step outside all the dumb shit in the bible you would wake up and realize it is silly....

If it's freezing cold and you were a bird, would you just hang around dipshit? I'm sure eventually you would figure out that flying south leads to warmer weather. Yes, there are some birds who sacrificed their lives flying north to find this out over time, but that is part of evolution. Just like someday you and all of the other "believers" will come to realize that it was all just a lie.

Instinct is not DNA, it is spiritual consciousness, race memory. They don't want you to believe you have a soul, and you are dumb enough to go along with it.

here is question posed to Job {AND HE WAS A BELIEVER}-you may want to take it to heart:

And Jehovah proceeded to answer Job out of the windstorm and say: "Who is this obscuring counsel
By words without knowledge?
Gird up your loins, please, like an able-bodied man,
And let me question YOU, and YOU inform ME.
Where did you happen to be when I founded the earth?
Tell me if you do know understanding....."- Job 38:1-4

When will these people stop asking stupid questions like, "Did evolution pop it in their brain" and actually start learning about evolution, something that they're so obsessed with.

It must be right, whoever wrote the bible (and translated, and retranslated, and edited it etc etc etc) said so....

Re: how do birds know how to migrate? Did evolution pop it in their brain or were they designed?
Thread: New Research - Animal Migration and Magnetism - The Source of Guidance: Magnetite
Although it has been strongly suggested that magnetism is the source for guidance in migratory animals, a new study seems to put the question to rest. The cells of certain migratory animals contain iron-rich crystals called Magnetite that are highly susceptible to earth's magnetic field.

Migration explained? Likely source of animals' magnetic sense identified

Researchers have isolated what are essentially tiny compass needles in the noses of rainbow trout that may explain these and many other animals' incredible ability to navigate across vast distances.

When cells scraped from the trout's nasal passages were placed in a rotating magnetic field, a clump of tiny iron-rich crystals inside the cells called magnetite — the same mineral used in compass needles — spun in synchrony with the field, turning the cells around with them.

The strength of the crystals' magnetic response, and their firm attachment to the surrounding cell membranes, lent strong support for what scientists have long suspected: That these crystals lean back and forth like a sail in response to Earth's weak magnetic field, and that the cells they are embedded in somehow convey their swaying movements to the brain. This is believed to confer trout and other migratory animals with a "magnetic sense" by which to judge direction.

...As detailed in a new paper published online July 9 in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the researchers found that the magnetic cells in the trout's noses swayed in response to a magnetic field 100 times more forcefully than had previously been predicted. "More importantly, we show for the first time that the internal compass needle has a strong connection to the plasma membrane [or outer membrane] of the cell, which is important to realize an immediate sensing process," said lead researcher Michael Winklhofer of the University of Munich in Germany.
