There is no guarantee that a new pope will make it into office. The Church Inc shall be eaten alive by the civil rulers and burnt to ashes.

Then will begin the final wars to destroy the kingdoms of men.

The Lord Jesus Christ has revealed that they both, the Beast (civil tyranny) and the False Prophet (Church Inc) shall be cast alive into the Lake of Fire. This is to signify the rapid nature of their destruction. Men make plans but God performs His Will.

You know, I'm not really interested in the Prophecy of the Popes because I know the Catholic Church made it up and has been making it come true for hundreds of years. What interests me though is that they picked this timeframe as the end time. My studies of the ~12,500 year cycle have also led me to the same conclusion. The Mayans knew about our time as well. It's going to get interesting...

We'll have to be on the lookout for meteors slamming into the earth...
