This is all over sky news this morning and its a joke.. reassuring the nation that they can make a change.. You watch what happens at election time, either NOTHING will change or Ukip will get a good amount of MP's into the house and then they will become bought out like the rest of them (If they are not already.. hmmm) It is all to make you feel at ease with this failed democratic system we have here. NO PARTY WILL EVER WORK IN YOUR FAVOR, look at the Liberals.. |

NO PARTY WILL EVER WORK IN YOUR FAVOR, look at the Liberals.. Maybe, fact is 10 years ago these guys were getting 4-5% of the vote, they have just received 27-28% which was more than one of the parties that is actually in government, and almost enough to beat the other one. I know by-elections dont always mean much, but it looks like the Lid Dem vote didnt swing to labour or the conservatives. It looks like UKIP picked up maybe 5% from each of the other parties. The UK political scene is changing much like scotlands changed a few years back. The other parties are denying it all the while clearly haemorrhaging votes. Interesting times. |

Not going to happen. Sorry to say, please wake up properly you use GLP man! Surely this crap cant fool you? |

FUCK EUROPE I agree fuck em, this is not damage control, you are fucking brainwashed to think that anything will change, or a party member. GTFO of here, you are not wanted, or them, we can rule ourselves just fine, we have the technology so all the fucking people can make daily votes on what we want and do not want, but then we would no longer need the leeches at the top of the pyramid would we. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 34379378 They just got almost 28% and were very close to winning. If they can get national votes that high they could stop all the main parties getting an outright majority and will steal voters from all of them. Looks like UKIP isnt going away and is only getting stronger! Panic time in UK government as this guy could be a decade away from being prime minister! Im not that familiar with Uk politics, so can you please explain why you want to not join europe? |

Cant think whats wrong with that 3rd world countries given the same status as first world ones- even if you believe democracy has failed and will continue to do so. I personally think that only non compliance with society or violent revoultion is the only way forward. as for America and the worlds finances, surely this cannot continue? Was titor right about an armed revoulution to do with removal of amendment 2? Meteors crashing into russia Pope resigning? Wow. Yes interesting times even if nothing else happens. |

[link to www.dailymail.co.uk] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5161670 Our trouble is, all of the three major parties are locked down in the paedophile blackmailable royalist establishment cult: hence they are determined to have us shackled into the Vatican's unholy Roman Empire as perpetual debt-slaves. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 34379378 United Kingdom 03/01/2013 07:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | UKIP's main problem is that in general elections their support is too spread out. They got about double the votes of the Green party in 2010, but didn't win any seats because they didn't concentrate their support in one place like the Greens do in Brighton. Quoting: Lime Flavoured Redux Whilst that may be considered a problem, thats how grassroots support works in our first past the post system. Strong national support for UKIP of say 25% is better in the long term rather than 40% in a few areas to win seats. UKIP aint doing shit until they can force a coalition with the tories or labour with an insistence on an EU REF and Immigration controls. Fact of the matter is, will the tories boot cameron and bring in boris johnson as leader before the election. If they keep having by-election results like this, that may happen. If cameron doesnt go and UKIP keeps gaining ground i think a tory split or mass defection to UKIP either before or just after the GE is possible. I think the tories losing the next GE is a given. I dont even know if labour will get a majority. The best thing for UKIP and the CONS might be a pact. |

They are a silly protest vote. |

Quoting: Lime Flavoured Redux im not sure how many ukip voters literally think that a ukip govt is on the cards, at least anytime soon. the eu and its associated problems are not going away, and anger against it wont either. it will only increase something has to give eventually. when the din gets too loud to ignore, then the establishment will have to listen. there WILL come a point when policies will have to change or nobody will vote them in to power ukip is leverage in the war against the establishment parties and their pro-eu stance - its share of the vote will keep increasing until it reaches effective levels. more and more by-elections will see upset results, until, eventually there is a breakthrough its a very young party and things dont change overnight its taken 50 years to embed ourselves in to this pile of steaming shite. gonna take a while to extricate ourselves this morning on sky, ukip actually had their own proper press conference, and they are ever-more present along the liblabcons on political programmes few people are dismissing this latest result as a fluke, because it isnt |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35367665 Only about 1500 votes in it. If we had a fair proportional voting system UKIP would have seats by now. They keep getting stronger and stronger tough, i expect the slander campaigns to start now. |

I think them winning the EU elections and getting seats in the General is a real possibility now though, especially if they keep increasing their support like this. I guess a lot of people really are sick of the others. |
