ooohhh, my head hurts.
Who to believe? The conspiracy theorists who produce and interpret scientific evidence, or the NASA guys who tell us to "move along, nothing to see here, you sheeple."
Although they often confuse it's and its, the fringe thinkers nevertheless go to great lengths to make their case. They struggle to find photos and videos that suddenly "disappear" when something interesting shows up.
What's going on up there, NASA? And it's no wonder the feds are spending money like it's useless paper. Why worry about the future when the whole shebang is about to go bang?
So, I have absolutely more faith in the conspiracy thinkers than I do in the authorities who have vested interests.
Professionals built the Titanic.
Amateurs built the Ark.
Keep fighting the fight, you comet-chasing, Nibiru-seeking amateurs. Or are you real scientists in camouflage?

 Quoting: Boorbarella

Yeah I'm a real scientist, I'm open about that, but I do astronomy and debunking for fun. Is there something wrong with being a real scientist? Oh yeah, I guess so, because the scientific evidence I produce contradicts the conspiracy theorists, right?

Doomtard destroyer, which conspiracies do you destroy? I'm not a committed forum reader, just an interested bystander who can't get a straight answer from the scientific community. So you're saying that Nibiru/brown dwarf mini-solar system/CometX--is a fraud? Perpetrated by whom? Fools? Liars? Lunatics? all of the above? And the photos of NEOs near the sun? or large objects hovering UFO-like in the sky? are all fakes? Is it your goal to disabuse dumb bunnies like me from self-imposed goofiness? You want to keep me and others from blundering into pits of doom? I appreciate your concern, but I think I'll keep looking for other than conventional explanations of how the world works.
So tell me, what is gravity? What is the difference between mass and energy? Are they interchangeable? What is the true mission of NASA? Do we have planes or flying devices that can change course in mid-air and travel faster than high-mach jets?
Thanks so much for your interest in my enlightenment. Actually, I admire modern science but think that it is still in its infancy. And not always honest in its capability.

 Quoting: Boorbarella

Yes.
Perpetrated by whom? Fools? Liars? Lunatics? all of the above?
 Quoting: Boor

And people looking for attention who want to feel like experts in astronomy without doing any of the work, no doubt. Donny Gillson springs to my mind as a textbook example of all of the above wrapped into one package.
And the photos of NEOs near the sun?
 Quoting: Boor

Say what? STEREO and SOHO are exceptionally poor for hunting "NEOs," their detectors are not designed for hunting magnitude 18+ asteroids.
or large objects hovering UFO-like in the sky? are all fakes?
 Quoting: Boor

I'm not making categorical statements about UFOs.
Is it your goal to disabuse dumb bunnies like me from self-imposed goofiness?
 Quoting: Boor

My goal is to expose the truth to those rational enough to receive and understand it. If that includes you, great, if not, oh well.
You want to keep me and others from blundering into pits of doom? I appreciate your concern, but I think I'll keep looking for other than conventional explanations of how the world works.
 Quoting: Boor

Well thank you for at least being honest about your bias.
So tell me, what is gravity? What is the difference between mass and energy? Are they interchangeable? What is the true mission of NASA? Do we have planes or flying devices that can change course in mid-air and travel faster than high-mach jets?
 Quoting: Boor

I'm sorry, I'm not here to teach you basic science or field handwaving generalized questions about UFOs. You seem to be under the mistaken impression that I care what you personally believe. I don't. I do enjoy debunking and I will continue to debunk Nibiru nonsense for the sake of those who aren't biased towards dogmatically finding "unconventional explanations."

NASA MATH : COMET ENCKE TAIL SEPARATION EVENT BY CME !

[link to docs.google.com (secure)]

I USED THE TECHNIQUE IN PROBLEM 5

I measured it and heres what I got ..
[link to www.nasa.gov]

the arc minute on the SWIFT image was 60 mm [millimeters] and [EDIT ] THE COMA WAS BETWEEN 6 AND 9 MM

so at .15 arc minute we get a maximum measured value of

174,842 [times] 0.15

to get a whopping 26226.315789473684210526315789465

or an apparent measured diameter of

9MM = 26,226 KM !

just for comparison I remeasured it so heres the other calcs...

8 mm = 23312.280701754385964912280701747 or 23,312 KM

7 MM = 20398.245614035087719298245614028 OR 20,398 KM

6 MM = 17484.21052631578947368421052631 OR 17,484 KM

"I'm sorry, I'm not here to teach you basic science or field handwaving generalized questions about UFOs". So says another know-it-all who can't prove his point that we conspiracy theorists are wrong, wrong, wrong.

My latest source is Tom Horn, who tries to reconcile alien science with religion, specifically the Catholic Church. Unlike most of the disinformation writers, Mr. Horn actually provides documents to authenticate his theories. Has anyone else read Petrus Romanus or any of the other literature that makes some really weird connections between the binocular telescope observatory in Arizona--with statements by Vatican officials and real scientists?

I'd like to hear some feedback from other forumists who are willing to consider these ideas. Conspiracy knockers need not respond, please.
