But there is only one Holy Spirit.

Re: Why do some people dislike spirituality?
Very interesting thread. I think there are a few reasons folk shy away from spirituality - fear of the unknown, fear of having to face their sins, a fear of admitting there is an unseen force in all of us that is far superior to our human body. Folk think of themselves as 'I am'and some folk may view the soul as being an interloper instead of accepting the soul is the actual 'I am'
Personally I think our subconscious mind is our soul, the part of us that is connected to our origins, the part that was sent here to evolve. To my mind there would be no point to us being living, breathing beings who live around 80 years only to die unless there was an inner part of us that lived on in some other dimension. The human body is a very complex structure and I don't believe for a minute nature decided to build a structure which housed 23 chromosomes from the male and 23 from the female then that body depends on synapses firing every nanosecond of the day etc. etc.,then it all ends??
My late hubby thought I was crazy but out of the blue he asked me to take him to a Spiritual meeting. He got a message where the medium told him the name of the company he owned, the name of his brother etc. She told him about weird things that had been happening in our home and then said to him the reason for the message was that he had a medical condition that wouldn't be debilitating if he visited the doc right away but he couldn't leave it any longer. Around 6 months later he died of a burst brain aneurysm. If he had visited doc earlier they probably would have been able to fix it

I've been saying this many times before. People who don't believe in God are unconsciously insulting themselves. So deep down, some people intend to live a life of great crime, and have no desire to change so therefore don't like the idea of paying for their sins. Like a spoilt little child that wants to do horrible things and wish his parent didn't exist. Such is the psyche of full-grown adults and scientists as well.

But there are people who want to be accountable for their actions. Who are remorseful. Who aren't so arrogant to fear something greater then themselves. Where the unknown is a welcome adventure.

Re: Why do some people dislike spirituality?
This perspective that people dont want to aknowledge.

There is a Creator
that is always right,
knows everything and everyone,
every thought and every feeling,
every moment of your life,
knows the end from the beggining,
and has its own set of laws and morals
that do not change,
that cannot be argued with,
A Creator that does not accept questioning or antagonism
that is above any human evaluation
that does not negotiate

If you really sit to think about what it entails to have the Creator we have, most people wouldnt endure life.

So in a sense, this life is the only thing these people get,

In this sense, you can actually feel sorrow and mercy for them, knowing they dont know better.

The whole concept of having such a God is too much for them to fathom.

the only certainty they have is that in the end, if such a Creator exist, they are very much in trouble.

In another perspective, its quite simple:
People dont want or cant accept the idea of letting God be God.

What I notice constantly is that people have make believe expectations of God. Things like God must adapt to them. Or how they feel like evaluating if God is right or wrong, good or bad, righteous or not. That if God does not comply to their wishes, he does not exist or is not worthy of their worship.

The whole world lives under very wrong notions of the Creator is like or could be like, what it entails to have a Creator and so on.

Knowing that there is no such a thing such as freedom, no such things as being independent, autonomous, invulnerable, hidden...

When you stop to think the current situation of each human being there is nothing we can do on our own, nothing we have merit for, no glory to achieve, nothing we can boast about.

Just realizing your very nature as a creature in the face of your Creator might be such a shock that people would rather not know about it.

They would rather not believe and attempt to forget this thought ever crossed their minds.

If God exist, how would he be like? Those billions of religious people dont stop to think or write about this.

Some religions have some descriptions of their Gods.
If you take the Bible God, the one from Judaism or Christianity, it offers a very detailed/coherent description of what a real Creator would or could be like (Im just exemplifying a concept of God I know of) but it is such that most people cannot accept a God with those traits.

One that says he will have mercy on whom he will have mercy. One that says that he does good and evil. One that downright tell you to be always contempt no matter what.
One that tells you that he makes some pots for honor and others for dishonor to explain that yeah, you might be a pot for dishonor, deal with it.

Its a very hardcore God. Very hard to sell to people these days. Its even worse if you think that it might be the only one we have. And you are supposed love him with all your strenght and all your heart.

Now these people who lives 30, 40, 50 years completelly oblivious to the concept of being subject to such a God will feel like its a horror movie, a very bad joke. Its a perpetuous state of denial.

No wonder everything "spirituality" sells much better. Take the idea of reincarnation. It sells like water in the desert. The idea that you can take it easy, and push with your bellies for the next life, guilty free. An impersonal, distant, lay down God.

Then you analyze the character of Jesus, who downright tell you to hate life. The one thing we have and known.
How about Paul saying to the Gentiles, to not retribute evil with evil, but to submit to the powers that be, because all power is given by God, because all things are from him, by him, for his delight.

I keep thinking that just downright telling the truth about what God is like, would be much more effective than all those New Age and Ancient Pagan religions.

You have to be blessed with a predisposition to handle the truth.

Another thing is that many were not made with that wich is necessary to accept the truth. They were predestined to not comply/accept, to live their very limited life time as some sort of passerby, filling on the blanks. And some dont even get to enjoy their ephemere stay. So they cant even say that it was worth it, or at least as worth as some others they spent their lifes coveting.

I wish the truth about "spirituality" wasnt so screwed, so I would perhaps like it.

People dont understand what really means to be just one in a hundred billion human beings, just how insignificant each individual person is when you take into account everything else that was created, all other creatures, beings, stars, galaxies, etc...

Now, even if some of us are somewhat significant to some extent "pearls/treasures" that Jesus spoke in paraboles, it is still like we are the result of a huge test/competition/filtering process.

And then, its still far away from being reasonable to attempt to define God in your own image, like 90%+ of the people like to do.

Re: Why do some people dislike spirituality?
It seems people don't like the idea of God because they are sinners. If you would go down to hell and see the demons there, they would say the same thing. They hate God. Because they don't want to be held accountable for their actions.

Intuitive feeling has a lot to do, with beliefs about God. People most definitely lack the intuition about God, so when they read the Bible etc, they are using their minds to understand a text that was meant to be understood by the heart. Why is it that some people are able to see the symbolism in the Bible and others are not? Why is it that some people are able to see the meddlesome contradictory writings of the Illuminati, and others are not?

Yes, people see God as someone to do their wishes. Which is why many people say, "I don't believe in God, because my business went bankrupt". Or because "I got cancer". Or because a loved one died. This is a very selfish attitude to take, and shows a very finite understanding about life.

God is not the one who punishes us directly. By all means, we do it all to ourselves. The problem is humanity has become very ignorant, and with this ignorance they have no idea what they are doing. There is Karma, there is reincarnation. If you think you haven't done anything wrong in this life, you have probably done it in the one before. What people do not understand is the soul is what matters in life. Your psyche is what matters. So even carrying certain desires and selfishness within will cause a consequence externally. You will be your own undoing. Being jealous, angry, lustful, proud, fearful etc are going to cause all sorts of trouble. And you have the option of not being in such a way. There is your glory. There is Glory in life. Overcoming all sorts of temptations. People can't be evil inside and expect to feel happiness and a rewarding life.

The problem is people are very selfish. They want to have their decadent fun, pleasures, cause others pain(physically or emotionally), be dishonest (and not see the dishonesty in their small actions) and they want a free pass like a joker card to a rewarding life and happiness. If people think like this, they may not know it, but they are thinking like demons.

So as an earlier poster said, it is truly the ego that dislikes spirituality. We think we are it, but we are not it. WE ARE NOT THE EGO. But we allow it so much into our lives that we become it. And then we rationalize like demons do, about God, life and the universe.

Some of us are simply just not frightened of shadows. Ghosts, spirits, demons, angels, heaven, hell...All of it is conjecture and none has any supporting evidence whatsoever.
'Believing', that is belief with no proof is for some but not all.
I am far from matrialistic, love deeply and truly and lead what is by most standards a very moral and decent life, but I am not spiritual.
Being grounded in reality is seen as the great sin today, but I see blind belief in non entities and invisible 'gods' as a far greater betrayal.
When one believes fervently in a set of made up principles and abstract morals then the outcome can only be chaos.
And that's why we are where we are...

But there is proof. Some see more than others. If anything, someone who is truly spiritual becomes courageous to fight those dark shadows you mentioned, because its a part of their lives. And there is proof. Just as you see a flower and smell it, there is proof in the things that I say.

And people should really stop referring to this physical world as reality. This world is an illusion. People do not see reality.

I don't disagree with anyone's morality here. What I am saying is, the standard of morality should be much much higher. This is why ancient civilizations were better than us. They understood that even thinking certain things and feeling certain things were wrong. The problem now, is that people use the law of averages to determine what is okay and what is not. Since 97% of the world is a certain way, we think it is okay. But imagine such morality that people would not even feel certain things because they would not allow themselves to. Today, everyone feels anger, hate, resentment, lust, fear, jealousy. True morality is one without a single moment of these, and true honor is one who fights against these feelings...

Re: Why do some people dislike spirituality?
Perhaps its all the spiritual self hugging people are resisting. This "my view, my belief is the only correct one" causes division.

And this attaching of the self identity to an idea is dangerous indeed. Very useful if you want to enslave the masses?

Often this includes the dehumanizing aspect of "If you don't believe as I do then your nobody".

Are we meant to serve ideas, to become slaves to ideas? Or are ideas meant to serve us? Its all in your head. Are you a slave or are you free?

I wonder what the world would be like if, instead of killing each other when we see difference, we see this as a chance to learn from each other?

Perhaps because it contradicts materialism, they probably like the sense of security of a heart of stone. It feels tough but tends to break when it falls, while one of flesh at least has a possibility to bounce and heal it's wounds. Stone just shatters and they subconsciously now it, but rather put up barriers instead of being vulnerable.

OP you have a Thread with a lot of good ideas which need to be shared.
Those in control have manipulated humankind from the time they took control of this planet, and that was long long ago.
(an interesting topic for another thread)

Those in control have pretty much manipulated most of the scriptures of the world, and they have done that to make sure people would not know their true nature.

Nearly all of Jesus' teaching regarding karma and reincarnation and much of his teaching altogether have been removed or changed as he taught it, from the New Testament, so that Christians today have very little understanding of what Jesus really taught, and what it really means to be a true follower of Jesus.
And so-called Christianity was hijacked from Jesus' true teachings the moment Peter began to make an outer church with him as the head of it.

Those in control have always been pretty ego-smart and they knew right away that Jesus' teaching was a threat to their egos and their desire for power and control.

Because they knew that by not knowing our true nature we would continue to waste lifetime after lifetime, by reincarnating over and over and learning very little in each life.
And since we are still here it means we all have not learned enough to qualify to ascend to the higher spiritual levels where we really belong.

Yet those that have learned and are learning, can easily share that knowledge, and others who can see the benefits then can make gains that would have taken them a very long time indeed to make. But the ego is terrified of our sharing such spiritual information and knowledge.

I also think it is important to share this other information with you, I was banned from this forum when those in control apparently did not want me to share any more information after my other post on this thread. I was surprised to see that the ban was lifted today, and so I decided to post this information also, and risk another ban. I have been banned so often for sharing spiritual material that it indicates to me that I might be making a difference which is upsetting someone's ego. There is a collective EGO mentality controlling this site, and much of the world, and it is quick to ban whoever may wake others up from their deep sleep.
And its no surprise because they who desire power have always done that even ages ago.
That's the only way they can continue to control others.

But we are awakening regardless what they attempt to do.

There is no reincarnation dude.

Jesus never taught reincarnation.

Reincarnation is a deception to make people accept the Antichrist as Jesus when he appears.

Reincarnation is a deception to make people conform with stuff and let it "for the next life".

Reincarnation is a deception to smooth people out into accepting "spiritual guides and doctrines" that are against the Word of God.

Jesus is the only guide, there was and there wont be anyone else. There wont be any other opportunity. This life is the only one you have, bow down and give glory to him.

Re: Why do some people dislike spirituality?
It is so ironic, that people think they follow Jesus but they do not.

If Jesus appeared to the multitudes, He would tell them how His teachings are not being followed. Even the ones who are devout have misunderstood Him.

In Jesus' teachings there is reincarnation, there is Karma.

The Bible has symbolism and it has also been tampered with. Do your research, about the Council of Nicea. But ordinary means will give you limited results...

Being close minded is really bad. When such people absorb information on a certain topic and once it settles...that's it, its permanent, even if it is wrong or incomplete. Therefore God forbid if you ever come to know things in a wrong way or you are ruined. Why is it that people do not get this.

Because the psyche of humanity has become like concrete cement. This humanity has devolved so much, that much like a cement that absorbs water and hardens, so do the ideas, beliefs, dogmas, until the individual's mind has become like a stubborn cement.

Be like water my friend...Bruce Lee.

Re: Why do some people dislike spirituality?
No, there is no reincarnation.

You die and then the judgement.

You dont die and live again and die and live again and die and live again and then have different, consecutive judgements or one big judgement or one judgement of your last life.

Every saint who died before Jesus died for all, got ressurrected. NO bullshit spirit of saints flying around guiding people to the light.

All the good ones ressurrected. They didnt reincarnated again to suffer again. They are in heaven.

All the saints who died after Jesus died for all, ARE RESTING IN SLEEP UNTIL THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT.

There is no "Oh, Im the spirit of Saint Thomas, I came to guide you".

Everyone who died stays dead, sleeping.

The only ones around are Satan and its fallen angels, all the angels who fell after, all the Nephilim who died, all the ones BORN OF THE WIND, clean or unclean spirits of old and the ones bound in the darkness awaiting judgement.

The saints died and they remained dead.
They dont get to come back here, they already paid their blood.

NOW YOU ARE SAYING THAT ALL THE SAINTS WHO GAVE THEIR BLOOD DIDNT REALLY GAVE THEIR BLOOD?

ARE YOU SAYING THE JESUS CHRIST DIEING ON THE CROSS ISNT THE ONLY WAY TO SALVATION?

You are deceived.

All the people who got crucified and killed because of their belief in Jesus Christ.

If you believe in reincarnation you would have to assume they have to be tested and prove their faith again and again.

This is a very disrespectfull jumping the shark.

Lets see Jesus teachings,

the parable of the sower. Where is reincarnation in that?

the parable of the wheat and tares. where is reincarnation in that?

where is reincarnation in any of the parables?

The whole Bible is consistent with its teachings everywhere, it repeats the same message in a different way.

It is clear about everything we are supposed to know, who, where, why, how, what, when, etc.

You have to believe a deceiving spirit to get the idea of reincarnation. Wich they made a ridiculous effort to attempt to push into and blend with the Bible.

And the whole purpose is EVIL. YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR FRUITS.

True Christianity has nothing to do with Reincarnation.

You are all still asleep. Being informed of the political, global deceit, lies and propaganda and knowing who really runs the world is NOT being awake. You are all still ASLEEP.

Re: Why do some people dislike spirituality?
Since the subject seems to have turned to reincarnation, I thought I'd share this- from THE Authority Himself. This is the question and answer: excerpted from page 107 of"Conversations with God
· an uncommon dialogue" ·
book 1
Neale Donald Walsch

Think on the implications in and for your life had you asked it and this was your answer.
Q-7. Is there such a thing as reincarnation? How many past lives have I had?
A-"It is difficult to believe there is still a question about this. I find it hard to imagine. There have
been so many reports from thoroughly reliable sources of past life experiences. Some of
these people have brought back strikingly detailed descriptions of events, and such completely verifiable data as to eliminate any possibility that they were making it up or had
contrived to somehow deceive researchers and loved ones.
You have had 647 past lives, since you insist on being exact. This is your 648th. You were
everything in them. A king, a queen, a serf. A teacher, a student, a master. A male, a female.
A warrior, a pacifist. A hero, a coward. A killer, a savior. A sage, a fool. You have been all of
it!"-Godhf hi

Re: Why do some people dislike spirituality?
It is NOT that they DIS LIKE IT... they have noticed by EXPERIENCE that those who come here and are TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.... are all false prophets.

Most people who PREACH .... have much to say but very little APPLICATION of what they PREACH..

So, no credibility... it is EASY to VOMIT WORDS... with no power of TRUTH.

So, most SEE THRU the BS.

There are so many SHEEP in the New Age and Christian world. They are so quick to jump on the band wagon... and they simply do not question anything.

LIFE is REAL... every day in every way. ALL THINGS... the good bad and ugly. So to even talk about Spirituality is a seperation from it.

So few have truly taken any time to SELF-REFLECT and gain the wisdom of REAL LIFE / TRUE Experience.
