Or are they just all swept under Jesus' carpet? Or maybe Jesus lets them keep doing what they are doing up in heaven? Surely they goto heaven right? If they had contact with God I think they'd know better than to molest altar boys. What about videos of homosexuals claiming Jesus saved them from their ways? Maybe thats not possible because its something they were born with and engraved so deeply in their head. But how can Jesus save people from drugs and former abuse, but not being gay? Maybe because the problems you showed are issues that one is driven so far into a manic depression over that they have bo choice but to fix themselves, often relying on an unknown figure to "guide" them, in a sense giving them an easy way out. So why doesn't he save the gays from being gay? If Christianity has such an issue with homosexuality, where are all the gays saying "Jesus saved me from being gay!"? Just because you can preach, doesn't mean you can teach. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22439663 Actually I guess that is something we agree on. I looked for a church that I believed was following the narrow path, but gave up after several disappointments. I do go when I am at home visiting my mother. I just believe that they distorted Jesus life and example. He came to show us the way, I believe he was telling us that we didn't need the church, that god was with us and not something outside of us to worship. I see Jesus as a brother and mentor. What denomination church did you attend? Baptist I love my baptist brothers and sisters, but I would probably not feel comfortable in a baptist church. If I had to go somewhere, it would probably be an independent church or maybe even methodist. I dont' do well with the "list of rules" and this and that. Do you read the bible and pray, meaning have your own personal relationship with Jesus? I've only ever been to one Baptist church, and I really enjoyed it there. It is a small country church and I was very involved. We did things for the elderly of the community, and for the families who needed help with bills and food. I was very active in the woman's group, we did bible studies and taught the youth and little children. It was very much the idea of being a good steward like Jesus. Then I moved and got more into Pentecostal because there seemed to be more spirit involved. All the churches I went to after leaving home cared more about the core members and building new buildings. You could try to become a member of their "family" but I felt like the true life of Christ was missing. I'm not sure you would call it praying, I ponder as it says Mary did all the time, like when I am doing my house chores and cooking. |

Just because you can preach, doesn't mean you can teach. It just goes to show you the sickness that exist in mankind from sin. This is why God gave us his Son to end sacrifice and fulfill the law that we might have eternal life through him. I think Lisa's effort is a good one. It shows you the true redemptive power of Christ. Death is defeated through him, and death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire in the second death. The confusion in spirit to day is from erosion of conformity in God's law. Look at the way this country has failed financially since abortion became legal. The legalization of gay marriage is the next nail in the coffin. We know for sure God said be fruitful and multiply before mankind went into sin. To accept these darkways is to head towards the destruction of mankind. In Daniel, we find that the man of perdition will not find favor in women. The dark path leads right to >>>>>>>the antichrist. |

Which means no matter how much we pray, if he doesn't choose us, too bad. That explains when I went through my praying phase, and didn't feel a thing Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22716786 He will choose a person based on their true heart condition. Someone that is serious doesn't stop praying when they "don't feel a thing." Someone who prays for a long time, and doesn't feel a thing has a very hard time continuing to be "serious". |

I'm not a real follower of religion, but I have a great respect for people who do. The reason I do is because of the way they show 'Hope' in what they say and do. I have a friend who is a great follower of Jesus and I really look up to her. She said that Jesus saved her in the time she did not want to be alive anymore, through hardship. She saw him and he told her to go on for the people in her life would miss her. So I have heard stories too of Jesus helping people. Knowing this it makes me believe in spiritual help, or what some see as help from God. Help is always there, no matter your background or denomination. |

They don't go to heaven where the angels fly They go to a lake of fire and fry See 'em again 'till the fourth of July I knew a lady who came from Duluth She got bit by a dog with a rabid tooth She went to her grave just a little too soon And flew away howling on the yellow moon Where do bad folks go when they die? They don't go to heaven where the angels fly They go to a lake of fire and fry See 'em again 'till the fourth of July The people cry and the people moan They look for a dry place to call their home Try to find some place to rest their bones While the angels and the devils try to make 'em their own Where do bad folks go when they die? If the attempt to diminish the word of God is present then darkness wins in the mind and heart. Compromise and erosion of conformity enter the mind and create the situation that we have today.
