Can the new SOPA bills and the recent attacks be connected?

With the SOPA bill looking to change the face of the internet and make online privacy a thing of the past, can the whole internet attack thing somehow be connected. Add the murders of guys like Aaron Swartz's into the mix and Im thinking its a warning to not get involved.

Which leads me to my next question there is a scroud of secrecy around this new bill, does anyone know where I can get a copy of it to read? There is very little mention of it around the web, and the few sites that do sometimes mention it aka 4chan and even glp have been under attacks. We must stand together on this one if we have any chance to stop this bill passing congress. Thats the only thing I know for certain.
