HONEY from China
I just read that Honey coming from China is actually corn syrup with Tetracycline added to it .. (because real honey has natural antibiotic properties)

this is an old article about it [link to www.foodsafetynews.com]

it figures that with all these disappearing bees, that these asshats would find a way to fool the food inspectors.

remember the melamine incident???

its a honey conspiracy!! only buy from local bee farmers.

and real honey should look cloudy NOT like corn syrup

well ...I don't buy "made in china" food either, BUT it won't say China on the label. If you do some reading you'll find out that in order to avoid taxes, tarriffs, customs & duties, china will ship to another countries that have free trade agreements with the country you live in.

you can find that info on google.

I checked the label on the honey I have in the cupboard it says it's from Australia (even though Canada is a major exporter of honey) for some reason we're importing it from a country that doesn't have as good of a honey as Canada.

so I followed the trail. and it leads to china. and Australia has free trade agreements with Canada.

why Canada needs to be "trading" honey products with other countries is beyond me.

Re: HONEY from China
I keep organic honeybees and can tell you that the honey from China is not honey at all.

They fill hive feeders with HFCS, the bees collected the syrup & store it in the comb along with actual nectar they collect. What you end up with is a product that is 90% high fructose corn syrup, 10% honey.

You also cannot imagine the toxins present on the little bit of actual nectar the Chinese bees do collect.

Always buy locally produced honey, if possible.

it doesn't say Made in China on the label.

that why as consumers we have to do some digging.

and I agree...support local bee farmers!

I'm very careful to avoid food made in China. Even if their processing facilities are up to standards and their growers are upstanding (big ifs) their environmental situation is horrendous. I don't want canned strawberries that were watered with glowing green river water.

Re: HONEY from China
This is true. Flavoured corn syrup. It is processed in China and exported to other countries for packaging. Mainly SE Asia.

Do not buy the cheap own brands in supermakets. Real honey is expensive.

Here's another article... Tells how they can get away with 'honey laundering'. They remove the pollen (the most healthful part of honey) so it cannot be traced.

Includes a LIST OF HONEYS TO AVOID BUYING... needless to say, MOST grogery store brands are on the list.

"•100 percent of the honey sampled from drugstores like Walgreens, Rite-Aid and CVS Pharmacy had no pollen.

•77 percent of the honey sampled from big box stores like Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Target and H-E-B had the pollen filtered out.

•100 percent of the honey packaged in the small individual service portions from Smucker, McDonald’s and KFC had the pollen removed."

You also have to watch out for major brand honey that is US produced as well.

______________
Tests Show Most Store Honey Isn’t Honey
Ultra-filtering Removes Pollen, Hides Honey Origins

"More than three-fourths of the honey sold in U.S. grocery stores isn’t exactly what the bees produce, according to testing done exclusively for Food Safety News.

...

Ultra filtering is a high-tech procedure where honey is heated, sometimes watered down and then forced at high pressure through extremely small filters to remove pollen, which is the only foolproof sign identifying the source of the honey. It is a spin-off of a technique refined by the Chinese, who have illegally dumped tons of their honey – some containing illegal antibiotics – on the U.S. market for years.

thanks! I see the honey I had bought is on that list of Honey's with no pollen. It's still unopened. I'd love to have it tested. It says its from Australia but when I followed the manufacturing trail it was obvious it came from China.

On the label it says 100% Organic Canada Grade A Honey.

from australia

thats what raised the alarm bells for me to do some digging.

I didn't open it. and went and bought some real honey.

when you compare the two ...one can see the corn syrup deception.

If you bought any honey from the supermarket or purchased any produce that was mass produced with honey in it (like bread), then you have eaten honey from china.

The best thing is to only get your honey locally from the bee keeper. Otherwise, your just eating corn syrup with a side of pesticides, a scoop of antibiotics, and a trace of pure poison.

agreed.

this is what raised the alarm for me.

On the front label it says:

100% Organic CANADA Grade A Honey

so I bought it.

when I got home to make my honey/lemon tea to fight off this nasty flu going around... for some reason I decided to check the BACK of the label to see if any other nasty ingredients were in there.

(should have done this at the store)

and I seen MADE IN AUSTRALIA

wtf? i THOUGHT this was Canadian honey (canada being a major exporter of honey I believed it was honey from my own country)

and thats when I followed the google trail of China flooding our markets with GRADE A SHIT under the falsity of another country that canada has a FREE TRADE agreement with.

Not sure how it works in USA.

I know one thing ...I ain't putting that nasty shit in my honey/lemon tea ...

its 100% fraud.

Savannah Bee Company makes great honey. It is on the expensive side, but it is real. I normally buy my honey from them, and they ship it to me.

Now that I have heard about this "honey" from China, I will never get supermarket honey again! They can put 100% organic honey on high fructose corn syrup? WTF?!

yes.

from what I read in various articles online, the fake honey from china is being shipped into Canada via free trade agreements with Australia. this way china doesn't have to pay expensive tarriffs duties customs & taxes at Canadian borders.

it perplexed me as too why Canada is even importing honey to begin with considering Canada is a major exporter of it.

SO why would canada need to import FAKE honey?

perhaps the GMO killing off most of the bees (worldwide) has caused this sudden influx of fake honey & ALL the other products that are made with honey.

the implications are astounding.
