I have a white rabbit. It has always been used to be in a cage till it was given to me. I opened the cage and set it free. It was afraid to step outside the cage because the cage was all it knew. It felt safe in the cage. So it wasnt really the cage that kept the white rabbit prisoner it was its fear of being free.
