Now, all that's needed is for the Shias getting butchered by the Sunni jihadists in Pakistan to finally arm themselves and fight back - and we will have a region-wide sectarian blow-out. Look for the Shia Houthis of Yemen and the Shia majority in Bahrain to start making some more noise, too. Just imagine, without religion to give some order to these beasts, the butchery would be even more horrendous...

Al Arabiya Correspondent says that large reinforcements were being deployed by the Maliki government in Baghdad near the Syrian borders.

Syrian troops have recaptured the Al-Ya'robiya checkpoint on the border with Iraq on Friday night. According to witness reports on Twitter, Iraq's armed forces moved in to help with the operation and shelled the border post, which was held by the rebels.

An Al-Arabiya correspondent also confirmed that targets inside Syria had been shelled while Iraqi snipers took positions near the crossing. Massive reinforcements have also been deployed in Baghdad near the Syrian border, the correspondent said.

Really, maybe that is why the 3rd country was specified, Iraq as a supply route when Turkey and Jordan were being watched.

Why hold back the 24 hours until Syrian troops showed up? What was waiting to come in would have been already in a staging area and across the border 4 hours later and well hidden for use in the campaign against targets in southern Syria. A TOW HE tank round could take down a power line from a safe distance, let alone appear is a car bomb without the danger.

The ones still under delusion are the ones that think the gas is cheaper because it is still a 'colony'. If weapons came through they were part of the operation and are no friends to Syria.

Not suprising.. Iraq is currectly controlled by SHIA muslims, the war in syria is sunni vs shia. so now if turkey(SUNNI) is not joining in or one of the gulf states then the sunnis are losing syria.

Sunni-> Turkey,Gulf states,jordan,egypt,pakistan,sudan and Indonesia. Muslim brotherhood is the largest sunni orginaztion and it has armed branches like hamas.

Shia->Iran,hezbolla,syria,iraq. Iran has shia millitas around the middle east made up by local shia minorities, they arm and train shia's to damge the sunni mayjority countries.

so now all the shia countries are involved inside syria so we can expect the sunnis to either go in themselfs or send western countries like the USA to do it for them in exchange for oil bribes.

As for russia, exept sending weapons they cant do anything. The russian army is zero compared to the USA army, its not 1970's anymore russia lost the cold war and its power with it.

It doesn't matter how strong they are in a conventional war, because they have nukes that can't be prevented from reaching U.S mainland. It's a wargame and I don't think either U.S or Russia will send soldiers to Syria at all. It just one big proxy war and it might soon start to be official
