I think what women AND men want is a partner who is confident, self reliant and are capable of living happily alone, but choose to stay by choice, not out of dependence.

My hubby and I met 26 yrs ago and have been married 24 so far.

I call him, "My shadow" but in a good way.

We are best friends, soul mates and inseparable.

We shop together, cook together, go camping and fishing together.
One rarely moves without the other.
We complete each other.

He would never go out with the boys and leave me ( his best friend at home) and I would never go out on a girls night and leave my best friend home alone. That is not how you treat a friend. Without your friend beside you life seems to pale and many things are not fun unless shared with a friend.

Too many of our friends are just married, some with kids, they go through the motions of being married but when they speak to us one on one they seem to need time away from their mates. IMO, This can not be true love.

They like clingy men. With a fat wallet.

People are like cats; the more affection you give them, the less they want to be with you. Let your woman come to you and women, let your man come to you.

Being clingy is a sign of co-dependency. We come into this world alone and we die alone; deal with it.

I believe what she so eloquently wrote was supposed to invoke the feminisation of men in this country. Men are confused about what women want, and we are told by the media that we should be ultra-supportive and sensitive and emotional... but women don't like that so much.

So? I don't like it when women are all emotional, and super sensitive, either. Get over it, women of the world!
